Yes I'm already signed up but I don't have any offers or anything as we didn't gamble....I only used it for shopping

Pretty sure we will spend the first 10 days at Imperial and the last four more mid strip,Bally's Paris or Flamingo....or maybe even Bills

Even if you don't have any offers it's worth logging in, clicking on reservations, putting in your dates and see what comes up. Offers are different from the reservations system and sometimes people have been quite surprised at what they can get. It would be interesting to see if as someone who didn't play at all if you can get any discounts - I know some people who played very little (less than $50) can get some pretty good discounts.

Just noticed that most (all?) of the HET hotels now seem to be offering early check-in/late check-out for certain dates to be pre-booked for $20 ($10 for one and not the other). Early check in at 11 and late check out at 3. Seems to say limited number of rooms available at this price. Also says if you're a TR member it may be better to book as normal and make the request for early/late/both separately.

Have just emailed to see if they will add late check-out to our next reservation as we're moving hotels for the first time...so having the option to keep our Paris room until 3 would be cool and for only $10 seems a reasonble amount to me...when we asked for a late check-out at Bally's once when we had a significant flight delay it was more like $40.

Ok I signed in with total rewards
as an example I just put in my last 4 days for comparison
    Harrah's
    Luxury...$330.............without TR..........$420
    Deluxe...$370......................................$460

    Flamingo
    Deluxe...$280...............NO TR............$380

    Bally's
    South Tower.....$275......no TR............$344
    North Tower.....$395...........................$464

Quite a saving bearing in mind we have never gambled and only stayed in HET hotels 3 times on previous trips...twice at IP booked at a cheaper rate through a casino host friend and once at the Flamingo

I agree - though now thinking about it, I wonder how those rates compare to their Hot Deals rates - or are the rates you were quoting as without TR the Hot Deals rates?

It will be really cool if just signing up for their players card results in decent discounts even without any play. I know some people who play very little just to get free drinks too. They sit there and play $0.10 a spin or so in an area where the cocktail waitresses come by frequently. :)

My husband signed up for a Total Rewards Card last year but never used it because he didn't gamble. When I was pricing hotels for our trip in April, I used the number to sign in, more out of curiosity, rather than expecting discounted rates, so you can imagine my surprise when the rates lowered to $25 per night. I then entered entered the REWARD code that is given on the "Walk Away a Winner" game and got a further reduction to $22.50 per night. (see my post #1352)

I wonder if PH's merger will allow existing A-List players to merge their cards with a TR, or even better in my case (A-List holder from my stay at PH last year, but no TR card), allow my A-List card to give me offers in the other HET properties.

    One can dream.....

We have some points on our A-List card so when we go over Easter we'll find out what they're doing with the points in terms of moving them to TR if no one has done so before that. Sometimes it happens automatically when the 2 systems can make an exact match (if you have both cards) - other times you have to take both cards to the desk and have them combned. Normally they do transfer the old club points to the new club taking into account the relative value of each point from each club. For slot play HET is 1 point per $5 coin in, I think PH's is 1 point for $10 coin-in...so they may transfer at 1 PH point = 2 TR points.

Not sure if they would create a TR account for existing PH members automatically or not.

A real shame about PH, I think Harrah's will run it into the ground. It will become old and dated very quickly:(
