  • Oh, I forgot to say, the problem I was having with the buyer who paid UK postage of £2.50 for an item that would have cost £10.50 to post to the US is all sorted :) I hadn't received any messages from them in 5 days so I put in a request to cancel the transaction and sent the buyer a nice message saying that it would probably be cheaper for them to buy a similar item in the US and pay cheaper postage so shall we just cancel this transaction? I refunded him in full (took a hit of 55p on paypal fees but not the end of the world) and he agreed to cancel the transaction and I got my final valuation fees back - hurrah! And I've had a message from a buyer for the very same item so fingers crossed this one goes a bit more smoothly!
  • Just checked my bank account and I got £9 CTC this month, normally I get £41.76, I did ring up last week to register as Self Employed but when I was self employed at the beginning of last year I was still getting £41.76 so not sure what is going on, what a bummer, I rely on that money to pay at least one minimum payment, what will £9 pay, the interest on one card only is £91 and I have 7 of the bl**dy things.

If you refund the original payment in full all your paypal fees are removed as well, so you are not out of pocket for that.

Floxxie, sorry to hear your news.

  • Sorry to hear your news Floxxie, Hopefully something can be sorted. My OH was made redundent last March and as I cant work due to illness, I was panicked, but we managed, its suprising what you can do if needs be.

TMD, tax credits are such are nightmare, Becuase OH started a new job, even though it is a lot less than he is earning in his previous job, they cut our CTC by £40. MAD

Thanks again for your support ladies. You just need to turn on the news to realise how lucky we are even if we won't be able to pay our bills ;)

Just had text from him to say that he is suspended; at least I can get him to do some jobs around the house and look after the children whilst I 'earn' some money :rotfl:

I'm now putting CDs onto Amazon although am going to boot up the PC as I can then input the numbers a lot quicker than on the laptop.

tmd, hope you get the tax credit situation sorted. Bet it is the self-employment that has thrown the figures out; or someone pressing the wrong button!

Have a good day ladies and catch up later.

  • Where is everyone this afternoon? I am bored, was cooking sausages for tea, the best before date is tomorrow but am not sure about them so we are off to McDonalds instead, hopefully will come to no more than a tenner for 3 kids meals and a meal for me. Feel sick after eating a chunky kitkat, wish OH would not buy those I prefer the 4 bar ones.

Best go and get back before The Simpsons as the kids like that and it gives me a break for half an hour.

    Back later
