  • I was just coming on to see if anyone else had heard about this as I didn't see the message in the Announcement board and someone had posted this on another forum I use.

I hate it when they do things like this, I have 3 young kids (5, 4 20 months), I can't sit at my computer all day listing that way.

  • Phew! I am glad that I came here before opening Turbo lister... I just opened the email from Ebay and didnt even think to look to see if there were any t&c out of the ordinary...

I did see further back that someone writes the descriptions up in word first., I'm going to try that tomorrow.. ( busy day today) for the items that I want to list for more than a 99p start..

Says me who has only listed 3 items since the year started!
  • Hooray, have sold one of my Business items that I listed yesterday, bring it on!!

I've only ever used TB - how does the live eBay listing work? Can you save it and go back? What are the disadvantages of using it?

I haven't used normal live ebay to produce listings for a couple of years now so I have no idea if its changed since then. When I used to do it you could just do one thing at a time.

    However I have a sneeky idea ;)

Do all your listings at any point up to Sunday and schedule them. You only get charged the fee when the item goes live don't you? So schedule them for sometime on Sunday BUT before they actually start make sure you log back in and unschedule them, therefore setting them to go live at that point and removing the schedule fee.

I do this with work listings from Turbo Lister. My vollies upload them scheduled and before the listing starts I log into eBay at home, untick the schedule box and set the listing live straight away

This will need testing though as it might not work if the item has still been done originally from Turbo Lister. If it does work it could save a lot of us working all day Sunday

Wow!!! That's fab!! What are you selling?? xx

Sorry that was a typo, it was £13.52 I missed the dot !!!!
  • Just listed another 23 new items today, and sold another 5 things.
Already got some watcher on the new listings,

I cant get on with turbo listing at all and just do the normal advance sell listings. It takes me about a minute to do each item, the download for the photos are much quicker and the whole process is easier than the quick sell option for some silly reason.
  • Just sold another 2 Business items, only listed them a couple of hours ago.

Not sure what to do about the free listing day, might just do a few if I get some time, OH is not working this weekend so I might be able to get a few done.

  • That's good news about the free listings day on sunday! My OH and I are going into the loft at the weekend to find more stuff to sell - wish us luck!

Yeah, I write my decriptions up in Word, I find that I can get about 10 an hour listed by cutting and pasting from Word so it's quite quick.

I had to open two unpaid item cases, the first one of which I have closed today as the buyer has finally coughed up the money (from the 29 December!) so that's good as it was the more expensive of the two items.

I was wondering about the photos I've used to accompany some of my clothing listings... I have a coat that is too big for me so I took a picture of it on a hanger on the back of the door but it doesn't look great tbh. Would it be misleading if I took a picture of me wearing the coat but I pinned it at the back so it was a better fit? I include measurements of my clothes and will state the size as a 16 so I think this will be ok and hopefully the better photo will attract more buyers - what do you think?

Thats fine sparkleisshopping - I always pin clothes when photographing as the only mannequin I have is a size 8 so smaller than all my clothes

As long as it says in the listing what size it is it doesn't matter
