Sounds like you had a great day Soolin! I've ordered stuff from Wholesalers quite a few times and had to unpack it all and chuck the big boxes down the Annex before OH came home from work, we went down the Annex the other day and he made a comment about all the boxes down there but obviously didn't click where they had come from. Mind you, they will be very handy next week when we (hopefully) sort the Annex out.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160

Soolin, that sounds like me at auction houses. I just love old stuff. At ours one time the auctioneer got to the point where he looked at my daughter & I & said, nobody wants it, you can have it for £2. It would have been rude to say no. She made her money back loads over on that transit load full, we only went to look, I can't believe that people pay more for cheap flatpack rubbish at auction than solid wood, because they don't like brown furniture. Give me a dovetail joint or natural grain any day.
I am impressed with everyone donation stuff to charity shops. I should do really.
I got some raspberry canes today from freecycle, I was going to buy some this week. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
I wonder if there'll be a free listing day soon, that would be nice.0 -
tmd, how was your visit to your Nan? I do hope that she was well & enjoyed seeing you & the kids.0

Thanks Hermum
Yes we had a great time, my Nan is getting confused about things, she has lost the sight in one eye now. I took her some lovely flowers, felt quite sad leaving though as it could be the last time I see her alive, she loved seeing the kids though so am glad we went.
I took flowers to my Grandad's grave too, it's funny as I didn't get upset when I thought about him but going to his grave and remembering how he was and what a lovely grandad he was and that I'll never see him again makes me so sad, I suppose it's the memories of them that I have as a kid, the things they did with us and the places they took us and the laughs we had, so many of my elderly relatives have died and it's just not the same when you think about things too much. I only had one grandad as my mum's dad died when she was 12 so I never knew him and it's strange as my girls only have one grandad too as my OH's dad died in 1991.
We are off to Bognor Regis for a couple of nights tomorrow so that will be good, my eldest two are only staying one night as they are going to my parents for just under a week so will be nice to have a bit of a break, although will still have DD3 with us.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -

I haven't got anything listed at the moment either, going away again today until Tuesday afternoon then will relist lots, plus eldest two DDs will be away until the weekend so can get more done. Really need to try and get as much listed as possible so that I can just relist if they don't sell.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160

I've already had an offer for one thing I bought in a mixed lot, lot cost £13 and my offer was for £25 for one item, I'm negotiating at the moment to actually drive over and deliver by hand for cash as it is extremely bulky and I can see no way of packing it. It was supposed to be collection only but the guy said he was happy to pay any costs to get it delivered.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. That's ideal Soolin. If I start selling as a business again I think that I'll go for old stuff, I'm not into clothes that much. I tend to have mad splurges of buying something in particular, with clothes I buy lovely stuff, as I relly only go out to walk dogs I don't need all the lovely embroidered stuff I bought & the heels that I can't walk in anyway would be lethal tramping through the woods.
I have nowt on ebay, p'd off at all the people who watch & don't bid & then afterwards contact you making stupid offers.
I had someone contact me yesterday saying that something hadn't arrived, so I gave a full refund within about 5 minutes, I know that they may have gone out but they didn't have the decency to say thank you. I can't put in a claim from RM until next Saturday because of the easter break. Just checked & they left feedback for other people after I refunded them so I think that a thank you would be nice or at least an acknowledgement.
Right gripe over off to do some more digging. I'm being a Farmer Giles, well digging the garden anyway.0
