I've just had a look & it's for business sellers, pooh, was going to set one up for my personal acct, just sold 2 things for 99p so hoped that I could get it up & invoice on the micropayments to save a little bit. Never mind.

Mine works oK with a personal account, they don't care where you use it..it isn't actually linked to ebay.

It wasn't easy to open though, I ended up doing it a long winded way, I opened a new premier account (hoping i wouldn't get caught with 2!) Then immediately requested a change to micro accountt. They reckoned it would take 3 days to convert, but it actually took a week with me nagging them all the time.

Also just a tip for book sellers on ebay. There are soem glitches at the moment and some insertion fees are being overcharged, so watch your listing confirmations.

Evening all, I was coming on here to tell you how many items I had sold and how well I am doing to then receive an email claiming two items that I sold have been received with the plastic bags opened and bits missing so she would like a full refund. I'm gobsmacked as I checked them before posting. I've asked for her to return them but yet again the world of eBay has rattled me....

Oh well may as well have a neg on each account :o

That is annoying Floxxie, I do get fed up with Ebay when I get problems, was really fed up when my account was put to Medium for Policy Compliance but all OK now, just going to try and pay off the rest of my credit cards and then when I'm debt free will see whether it is worth Ebaying at all.

I'm with you tmd, get everything sold to clear some of the debts and then get out of eBay; it's just unfortunate that I have so much to sell

Me too Floxxie, that is why I need to go through all my boxes of stuff and get rid of some of it up the charity shop, books don't sell well for me so pointless listing them, some I've been relisted 100s of times so time to give up. I just need to get rid of lots of stuff ASAP to make room for the stuff I want to sell and make it easier to them stuff listed.

I know what you mean about getting rid of things that realistically arent going to sell,
Now we have started a business account I have got rid via freegle of the 30 books that I have had sitting there for 6 months being relisted and relisted just incase they sell. Now their out of the way I have more room to work so hopefully will make it easier for myself.

Have you tried Amazon or GreenMet for books? I have set aside the top of my wardrobe to store them but I tend to sell a couple a week even if there are 100s for sale.

Saying that I have been really tough and got rid of things so I could concentrate on items that can be put on eBay.

Have a good weekend everyone. Weather looks wonderful but hayfever is keeping me indoors :(

Oh dear, I fear my huge decluttering has gone wrong with a spur of the moment decision I made re my business account.

I was using a local auction house but buying very little as the prices were getting higher than ebay so I had virtually run down one of my selling lines. I came across a new auction house (new to me but long established) and gave them a try today. I only took the baby car (a C1) as the auciton house sold in mixed lots and i imagined they would be too dear for me, but I ended up having to fold down the back seats just so I could get in all my stuff. I knew I had goe overboard a bit when I seriously considered buying a early 20th century oak occasional table for a fiver with no hope at all of being able to carry it or sell it on.(My son absolutely refused to allow me to bid as he said I had got auction fever by that point)

So whilst this is all my spur of the moment decision to branch out business wise I am once again faced with one room of the house full of boxes and with stuff piled everywhere waiting to go on to my business account. The good newsis I only spent £61 in total including my sons purchases.

The good thing was that I took my son so he could help , and he ended up buying several sets of dinner plates, tea plates and soup plates in beautiful condition in the antique Doulton Alma pattern, so very old all for a fiver before VAT and buyers premium. He thinks it will make a real impact in student digs where his mates all eat of Ikea plates and he has antique Doulton!

The problem is OH is on his way home and I have absolutely nowhere to hide all this stuff...help....
