Hi, I always find that I get loads of watchers & no bids. Do you ever do BIN? I haven't & I'm not sure if for my own stuff it would be worthwile, as it's all preloved! Or carp depending on your viewpoint. It does sound on here though that a lot of BIN go quickly, maybe I will give that a go.
    Have a good day everyone:D
I have done a few on BIN but to be honest I've found it doesn't seem to make too much difference as I am only listing 10-15 items at a time. I guess is it was a business BIN would probably be the best way to go:)x

Not a happy bunny today. One of the buyers who hasn't received items from me (two items, sent in the same parcel) left me the following message today:

hi still not received my item so i would like a full refund otherwise a dispute will be made with ebay kind regards

Can she do this?? I told her I have to wait 15 days and would she mind checking with her local sorting office, I'm waiting to hear back from her. I know it's annoying when you don't receive an item you have paid for but it's annoyed me when she wants to open a dispute against me when I have actually posted it and the fault seems to be with Royal Mail.....

It looks like she has to wait until 10 days after she paid for it

if it hasn't arrived by then she can open a dispute. Did you send it signed for so that you can check online or normal post?

I sent it first class, maybe I should start sending them signed for. Thinking of just refunding her to keep the peace. Got good feedback so far and don't want to ruin it. Will have a look at that link, thanks hermum xx

  • Is this the person waiting for the boots or the jumpers? I would wait until they get back to you and ask them to wait until Wednesday to see if it turns up.

Yes it's the boots and a top sent together. I'll suggest that and see what she says. Thanks TMD x

Personally I get them to wait until into the second week and then I just refund them in full. They can open a chargeback on day 7, but I certainly wouldn't want them to do that as it makes them consider a neg. If I'm going to have to refund anyway then I prefer to do it graciously, even if I have to grit my teeth and despite losses in the past I've never yet got a negative because of it.

Thanks Soolin, think I will refund her and try to make a claim, it's not a huge amount of money but it's a pain in the backside. I appreciate all your comments - it's great to get so much good advice on here!!

Do get her to hang on as long as you can. I tend to try and read the tone of their emails rather than what they say. Sometimes angry emails arise because the buyer has been fobbed off by previous sellers and is surprised when a decent seller tells them it will all be OK and they will get a refund if item doesn't arrive in a few more days.

I went almost a year without any losses then I have had three alreads this year (two ebay one Amazon). One of the ebay ones was really aggressive in their first email, but once I reassured them that they would not lose out they suddenly decided they could wait another full week for a refund, even though I only asked them to wait until the weekend which was 2 days away.
