hermum - sell them all- it is so depressing looking at clothes you used to fit into. Put aside some of the money you make on them and buy one key piece as a treat and its something nice to aim for.

Re postage and packaging l always offer free UK postage then l can use all my recycled packaging and send as cheap as possible without people moaning - l make sure the price reflects postage as well so am not out of pocket - people like to think they are getting something for nothing, don't we all.

Ah but I never did, I jumped a size, it's mostly per una, autograph & a couple pieces of Oska & all brand new stuff that I couldn't afford to buy now. Think I'll have to keep it all.
Offering free p&p I've considered, do your listings go higher up in the searches still?
I spent a couple of hours on Turbolister, just loaded the pics, & they are so rubbish. Don't know if I was excited at finally getting off my fat !!!! or if the cameras gone dodgy & developed it's very own tremor. It's eaten 4 batteries today so I can't take anymore until I get new ones.
    It's a conspiracy I hear me shout.
  • Welcome Steerpiker

Well done on the magazines, I used to buy Smash Hits but never saved any of them, I do have one of the FAME A5 magazines somewhere and I have my two Wham! scrapbooks, one has all the bits stuck in it, the other doesn't.

I have been selling my old Picture Story Library Books but they only go for the start price, I've been doing them for £1.50 including P&P.

I haven't listed anything today as I've got one of my headaches, not sure why as I take a tablet each night to stop me getting any, but maybe they are not working, I definitely took it as it was the last one in the pack.

Will try and list a Mini Boden dress that I bought for DD3 to wear to my cousins wedding but apparently cousins are not being invited so will sell it.

I'm going to be getting some auctions ready on Turbolister to list Saturday and Sunday for 10 days as I'm going away to my parents as it's my birthday on 20th, am looking forward to the rest and hopefully will be earning some money while I am resting.

Floxxie - good luck with the op, hope it goes OK, good luck with the listings on Mon and Tues, hope you get lots of sales. I always try to avoid auctions finishing between 8-8.30 on a Monday and 7.30-8 on a Tuesday as Eastenders is on then.

On the magazine front; I send mine 2nd class and it costs £1.85. I'm just wondering if anybody folds the magazines in half to send it at a cheaper rate?

I have decided not to list any tonight as I'm going to try tmd's approach and list on Mondays and Tuesdays. Hoping that op will be done early and I can get out of hospital quickly.

Aiming to make £250 this week :o

    All the best for op.
Wow £250 in a week. Good luck.
Can you still post printed matter, papers & mags at a cheaper rate. When I worked in a post office we used to sell brown paper wraps for papers & they went cheaper.

hermum-l don't blame you keeping them if they are 'good' items just don't too attached to them as you will soon be looking at smaller sizes.

With the p&p l don't believe it moves me up the listings its just l'm offering something extra.

  • mummy2mygirls - I'd be very annoyed too, I suppose you've got to write the £12 off, wipe yourself down and keep going. Bummer though.

Just thought I'd let you know that the buyer who wanted me to add all my dvd's into one listing has just bought 17 seperately!!!! Bonus.
Need to sort my life out! :T
