    hi Buffy
Nah keep my tank in the kitchen because like you my room is tiny- i can hardly open the doors of the wardrobe without being strategically positioned!
I would use a weak bleach solution :o(yup i keep the evil cleaner bleach i can't live without it). But try Bicarb and white vinegar first.
Glad you calmed down some and have a wee master plan or two ;)

  • Well I banned myself from the internet tonight, got loads done! Cleaned out the other fish tanks and made two days worth of lunch plus had a driving lesson (was FAB)and a quick tidy up. Am ready for work tomorrow.

I still like the idea of floor boards since further reading has ascertained that this stuff doesn't shift(and in the cold light of day it has turned bright green!). I will seal them (been reading) and some illusion of space (bare and echoey would be good in here it is stuffed and so packed out). I am bit worried about the noise..... but its not like there is a lot of walking space!! Plus it will give me an incentive for decluttering aka selling on e bay! which inturn goes on the debt.

I will give the bleach a go tomorrow night mind you - not messing around with bleach on fish cleaning evening!

My debt free thing is to confirm the Music magpie order and do my scratchies.

I think I may have overfed the goldfish. They look like Golf balls.....oops.

going to Bournemouth by bus in 1/2 term looking forward to that.

    xxxxxx

NOt wearing shoes in your room will minimise the noise AND have the benefit of preserving the finish for longer;) Slippers and bare feet only!:rotfl:

    Buffy my sweet,

re floorboards - I have many painted all white - hall & stairs have been lightly sanded, undercoated with emulsion ( works just as well with a couple of coats & much cheaper than 'real' undercoat) then top coated with gloss. Did them over 5 years ago & although they do get marked quite a bit, as they're gloss they can easily be washed donw & once a week I even scrub them with a bristle brush - they're fine.

Living room & bedroom are done the same way but with satin paint so less hardwearing but as Lucifa says slipper, socks & barefeet are fine. To make them more hardwearing you could always do another coat of varnish on top - yacht varnish being the most hardwearing but probably quite pricey.

Spillages can be a pain & stain, but then again if it's white paint it's so easy to just whizz over the satin with some more white paint - simples :)

If your bedroom is upstairs you wont get too many draughts but a rug will make it more cosy in winter & the brightness will lift your spirits & calm your mind.

To see how it will look, I recommend getting a paint range brochure from a diy store, that's what inspired me to do mine & I still love the look :D

Dont you dare give up the driving, will come & nag at you every single day if you do ... it is the key to so many good things for you :) ( think checking out fit guys at the traffic lights ;) ... or is that just me ?)
  • I couldn't do the music magpiemalarky, need to find two more Cds

Today was better then yesterday. Work was better today, kids are funny.

I have tidied up a bit and aside from the Stain (I think everyone knows about it now!) room looks better.

Still having massive resentment issues over my sister and the sodding garden.

I really need advice on this. I get so mad. I hate that they are so near and yet do so little (And always have) and anything they do gets poured over if it was straight from God.

I know rationally why it happens and I know why I do what I do. But tonight I am angry and stressed cos they did some more gardening- I mean the shock and the horror!

    mad. nuts bonkers.

any how have to farm and then go to bed!

You had a good few days there, don't them them spoil it. I get the same when DH does some housework with a miserable face if somebody suddenly announces they are coming to visit!

Its daft as I know he is only helping and fed up that the house is not tidy all the time, not trying to make me look bad, but I still get cross and snappy. We are daft aren't we ;)
  • Am shattered. Mum is being overhelpful and it is really irritating me. Today was a really good day at work (not in work had a day out) have come home so tired - had a nap but ache all over. Was going to mark some books tonight. really didn't expect to be so tired. If I get them out now Mum will make some really helpful comment. sighs.

I am so fed up tonight. I really don't want to mark, I want to surf and find a new skirt on e bay.

I shall just mark. I might feel better afterwards. If I get it done. no When I get it done.

    see you all tomorrow

(debt free action - scratchcards, not hge but every ten pence is good)
