Awww hugs to you Buffy (and piggie kisses)
It does sound to me like most of the stress is coming from the imminent prospect of going back to work tomorrow.......so why not stop thinking about it until tomorrow comes?
Hanging in there is sometimes all we can do until an opportunity is created/presents itself. But while we hang in there, we need to be treat ourselves as compensation for all the carp we are currently putting up with.
Please don;t beat yourself up for not getting everything on the list of tasks done - if you;re anything like me (and I think you are) you set yourself way too much to achieve in a day anyway. One very big thing I have learned over the last two years is to enjoy the moment that "is" (regardless of what I am doing) rather than always worry about what should be done next.
This morning I binned today's list and am taking today one step at a time. The only tasks I will make sure I do today are those needed for tomorrow (which in fact is none of them as I am not working tomorrow )
Give your furry girlies (and you) some quality time and enjoy getting to know them. Set yourself a time limit and then go and do the next task in priority order.....(eg whatever needs to be done in preparation for tomorrow) Above all, try and enjoy what you;re currently doing rather than constantly worrying about what you havent yet done or what will happen tomorrow.
It's difficult to break the habits of a lifetime - but it really is working for me...and today, in between ironing shirts, I have really enjoyed giving lots of cuddles to ALL my piggies, something I haven;t done in a long time....and its very de-stressing (even if I am using up a lot of sticky paper on my lint-free roller croutesy of all the piggie hair)
Take care my dear - always here for you.

Buffy, I've been lurking on your diaries for ages (sorry, should have posted before now), just wanted to say put yourself first, your wellbeing is more important than anything else right now.
Good luck and positive thinking your way.0 -
Are you only looking for other teaching jobs or are you thinking about a change in direction?
I know you've spent a lot of time and effort in your career but sometimes a job you can walk into at 9am and out at 5pm without a second thought just helps you sort out who you are and what you want from life (and it doesn't need to be forever)
Decluttering your mind from stress is just as important as decluttering your room/house.

I have been cleaning which seems to have occupied my brain for a bit, had a couple of texts off mates who are also dreading tomorrow.
I found a website for more general jobs in education. It sounds a bit bonkers but I think I might go for a learning support job as in a Learning support assistant. It would be a huge pay cut but it is definitely an option - since with it and the tutoring I could manage very well.
Its a thought any way.
Thank you for your support guys. I am sure I am feeling like this because it is the big go back tomorrow. I will make an appointment at the doctors.
I feel so embarrassed, I lucky in many ways and should just pull myself together but I can't seen to quite manage it just now.
thanks again

Hi Buffy
you need :grouphug: for a start, and I agree you should see the doctor. You need a break, even if just to relax (no, Christmas doesn't do that!), so you can straighten your head a little. There's a point where you just have to see if the job is really worth the hassle any more.
Thinking of you, will check back soon

Hey Buffy
Keep on with the job search, you could well find that other people decide to hand in their notice after Christmas, a lot of people have the new year new start attitude!
Try to stick with babysteps and remember, as Ziggles says, that you can't do it all at once, it will take a while for all these things to come together.
You have done brilliantly so far and you should try and stick in there.
Agree with the others, definitely worth going to the doctors and also worth keeping a stress diary as it seems like your job is causing you an awful lot of problems.
Take care of yourself.I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
