  • Had my first lesson and it went really well, got two more booked for next week, it will be 44 quid a week, I REALLY need to do a new budget.

I liked the instructor and remembered how to change gear and mirrors and stuff. He said there was nothing wrong with my driving, my only problem was thinking I couldn't do it. He pushed me really hard - I drove to work and back plus a bit round the back streets. I am so surprised.

And very hungry. got lots on today.
    Just some random thoughts.

I honestly don't think Mum and I are ever going to get on without me compromising like this all the time. I have to say this, she is so negative constantly about everything. Its a real fight not to just say sod it I am moving out, sit here and be depressed on your own.

The driving will give me opportunities to get away from that.

I do love her so much but it just isn't enough to make any difference.

    xxxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Glad you were able to make such good progress with the driving Buffy - WELL DONE.

Sounds like your mum is going to continue to use you as a crutch while you're staying there. Only problem with that is the strain it puts you under. It may be that you will not be able to do anything about that but if she gets a little more independent things may improve.

    Hope you're okay otherwise.

  • Its been a semiwasted day in Buffyland.

Watched two films A hotel for dogs and How to make an American quilt(love that film).

Wanted to move my furniture around, turned out my measurements were all wrong and nothing fitted. Am currently re thinking the arrangements........ Honestly when I think other people on here do so much in a day, I am just useless!

Sometimes I get a glimpse of the person I want to be. She doesn't hang around for long.
