Although I have already received a refund, 3 pairs of earrings were returned to me today. I no longer have a returns slip for them, as I've already sent them back once. They are hideous, so I have no use for them (unless I go to a fancy dress party as Pat Butcher one day). But not sure I can face all the hassle of contacting M and S to arrange for them to be returned. If I'd known what was in the parcel I would have refused delivery.

i recieved the earrings back today that they refused to refund. i guess i will have to put them on ebay but i dont see some of them selling - unless whoever buys pat butchers earrings shops on there
  • There seems to be lots more sale stuff online now (not just per una) and the old scrolling bar at the bottom with red prices is back! :)

Am having a heated debate with the M&S Customer Services team about my jewellery returns.

Not only will they not refund my earrings, despite a confirmation email saying I would get a full refund if I returned them all in 7 days quoting Distance Selling Regulations (which I did), they have had the nerve to reduce the amount of my refund by the value of £10 credit they had previously applied to my account! And they haven't refunded my P&P which they also said they would do.

Have spoken to supervisor too, who just keeps saying 'it's company policy'.

    Aaargghhh!

I've only had about 4 lots of P&P refunded too. Get the feeling I might be pushng my luck if I ring up about it again now though.

    Result!

Just had a call from one of their senior Customer Services people. He apologised for the fact I didn't get the refunds for the earrings under the Distance Selling Regulations. He said I should have, but that there had been a lack of understanding of the regulations within the teams who dealt with my refunds. That is being sorted, and so is my refund.:)

I've also been given some more goodwill promotional credit - but he has said that they don't refund that - as people were using it to get cash back. I'm therefore going to use it to buy something I definitely won't be returning.

    Sorry. I don't.

He rang me because I used the 'Contact Us' option and then asked for someone to ring me back about that order number. That could be worth a try?
