I daren't add up what I've bought and I am too scared to look at my bank statement!
I've just had a massive delivery with loads of parcels, some good, some bad.
My £3 shrug looks weird, haven't tried it on yet, so might be ok. Got 4 packs lovely socks for dp which were reduced from £10 to £1 for 4 pairs, so I can chuck away all his old scabby ones! My Per Una green leather gloves are too small and worst of all the cashmere dress isn't what I expected at allIt is lovely to look at, but it isn't very soft at all. I bought a pink cashmere blend dress which is so soft and cosy, but the pure cashmere one feels more like lambswool. It is quite scratchy and I won't be able to wear it as I know it will irritate me. I am quite upset. I expect my mum will have it though, she had already asked to have it if is was too small for me!
I had quite a few cancellations last night too, I lost my dd's Sleeping Beauty dress, which I am gutted about, as well as some other bits and pieces.
I need to do a mass take back to M&S or a big ebay list. I guess it would be better to sell some of the stuff I don't want rather than take it back as I'd probably get more for it on ebay than returning it, then I suppose it would fund the stuff I have kept. Don't know if I can be bothered though. I hate ebaying! :rotfl:0 -
Is your £3 shrug the one we got the same? My OH doesn't like it as he thinks it looks like a granny thing but I wore mine and it does keep your back and shoulders ever so warm, so its confined to just wearing in house.
I only got 2 packs of kids socks as ordered some for OH but cancel mails came a long time back.
I think I read on a review somewhere that the cashmere dresses were scratching so some of mine might go back and just keep the cardis.
Sorry about sleeping beauty, know you really wanted that.0 -
 Tried to return earrings to store & they refused to take them. I'm sure if bought online they should refund - someone on here mentioned distance selling rules?? Has anyone else been successful?0

Hi Claire,
I think it's the same one, short sleeved sort of cable knit wool one. I just tried it on and it does look weird, sort of upside down and it makes me look a bit fat and frumpy! I think that'll be going back. I don't understand about the cashmere dress, I don't know why it is scratchy. Isn't the whole point of cashmere that it is soft? I tried it on and it fits really well, even though it is a 12, but because of the neck line it feels itchy. If it was scoop or v neck it would be ok, but the cowl neck rubs and irritates. Never mind. Got a lovely silk satin turquoise top this morning too, which is gorgeous and that makes up for it!
I had a cancellation for the silver girls' shoes too, but they are still on my order and I've just had another email saying they've been delayed, so fingers crossed we both get them! :rolleyes:0 -
thats why i din get any cashmere dress/cardi in the store after i tried them on, i FEEL weird wearing them
in the other hand, those cardi thats mixed with cashmere (not 100% cashmere) feels better than pure cashmere.0 -
My wishing wand was cancelled, rather diappointed, would have gone really well with the fairy wings DD is getting for her birthday.
Nevermind though, have 3 packages here, I think one contains plates and bowls, a handbag, a book to put away for Christmas and cardy ugg style shoes for DD.
Waiting for hubby to go out so I can open them without him being nosey and moaning at what I have boughtComping wishlist for 2017

**WARNING** To anyone else ordering 'mystery' jewellery items - having checked the returns policy it does state that earrings are non-returnable. I have 2 x £3 and 1 x £1 earrings that I will never wear & can't take back!! (Have posted pics on a previous post) :mad:0

Has anyone had things cancelled from orders that have moved to 'despatching soon'? Or are you definitely going to get everything when it says that? I have a feeling that sometimes they say that, then despatch the bulk of the order, but the remaining items sit there for a bit then get cancelled
Also, what's the oldest order you've got sat at not yet despatched? I've got one from 10th Jan - not looking good for that one then!
Apparantly despatching soon doesn't mean it's yours according to the manager I spoke to, the money is 'reserved' from your account and although it should mean it's picked and packed that's not often the case. Not sure M&S have a clue how the system works, everyone I speak to tells me something different.
I ordered one girls dress, only item on that order. Moved to despatching soon, money taken. Order disappears two days later. Spoke to SA that says we can confirm your order has been cancelled. Have a lovely day. :rolleyes:Comping wishlist for 2017

I did wonder if the hygiene rules over-rode the usual DSR but wasn't sure. I'll see if I can find anything on the OFT site.
Worse case scenario you could ebay them (usually against buying glitches/sale items to sell on ebay but this is different) or maybe someone else likes the item and you could swap items.0 -

I've had a ball too, hubby has been away and i've had a couple of extra days off and its made time fly by. Got some great gifts for my stash and had great fun finding items and seeing what everyone managed to get. Back to work this week though but at least I wont miss out as no new items are being added.
Hope Edinburghlass finally got her cocktail items :A
Am trying to resist one last order for jewellery as have more than enough now for gifts and had already bought some in the summer sale for end of term gifts for the school staff. The summer jewellery sale had far prettier items (not as reduced though) so hopefully they will do it again this year and we can do it all over again :rotfl:
I also spotted the S&G boxes being back in stock thanks to this thread and have had my despatch emails so am a very happy bunny.0
