Just spoken with M&S about a footstool I ordered through the sale and the girl said that all the cheap items were ordered through a 3rd party website and not the M&S one and that they wouldn't be able to honour such orders. I'm guessing that this means they don't run the sales part of their website themselves! I'm pretty annoyed as it's taken them 2 weeks to tell me and at the same time every time I've called and sent in a stinky email they've confirmed they will send me a footstool as its their mistake, until I called them today and spoke to a senior manager who confirmed they wouldn't be sending anything. They were very nice about it and instead I'm getting a £10 voucher! But it is annoying and I'm not too impressed with the company. May escalate further but it's a hassle particularly as it wasn't something I really needed or wanted and if I don't get it, I'm still £10 up.

Claire - you were asking about the £2 purse. Just wanted to let you know a friend of mine had her order cancelled so fear not, looks like they weren't in stock.

I'm so over M&S and their online sales. I've got 3 orders still outstanding from Jan 8th, 9th and 11th. I've had to cancel 2 orders as they removed items without telling me so the remaining items cost less than the postage so not worth it in my opinion.

So out of 50 unique items ordered, 11 were cancelled or just removed without warning by M&S, 4 were cancelled by me as (see above re small order values), 23 have been delivered and the remaining 12 are sitting as "to be dispatched" and have been since they were ordered. Have to say I did get one or two good bargains including a wool blend coat for my step-daughter (£5 from £32) and a lovely shirt for my hubby along with bits to put away for my son but most of the things that were cancelled were for me or the house so gutted :mad:

Thank you to all those who posted links and well done to those who actually got the things they wanted. I think next year I'll just brave the crowds and weather and go in store for the sale.

Well I ordered 3 things from BHS 2 days ago (one item was showing as the last one in stock) and I have had a confirmation email, and an 'items despatched' email already... AND I'm getting everything I ordered! I also placed an order with Debenhams, again one of the items was the last one in stock, and they have confirmed my order already (although I don't think it's been posted). Oh, and I got free delivery from both stores even on low value orders. I think the service offered by these other stores is WAY better than M&S customer services which is quite frankly appalling!

I have had a few deliverys today but a 4 part set for DS2 - jacket, shirt, tie and jeans has the jeans missing.

Re the £2 purses... I ordered 2 red sequin heart purses at £2 each and M&S mysteriously removed them from my order. Then they appeared for sale again and I bought them, and they disappeared again! I also ordered a silver purse for £2 which has been sitting in my account unmoved for about a week so I doubt I'll get that. I also ordered a brown leather tassel purse for £5 but M&S removed that from my order without telling me as well. It's all getting a bit predictable...

I wonder why the links have gone, do you think they are waiting and will put them all back in one go or the other idea I had was any returns and sale stock will move on to the outlet shops now

the one i had and lost combining orders was a leather one £2 from £18, as it didnt appear agin for several days I think it may have been ghost stock
