    Me too :rotfl::rotfl:
  • Just popped back onto the thread to give a word of warning.

    I've put over 20 orders into M&S since Xmas Day - spending (and to be fair also saving), a lot of money. The majority of my orders were made in the last week when I've been picking up lots of bargains which very kind people have been posting - or at least I thought I was getting them.

    I've had approx one third of my orders delivered which I'm really chuffed with.

    After every order I completed I kind of took it for granted I therefore had the items - but I didn't. This afternoon, along with lots and lots of other dedicated M&S customers from this thread, I received multiple emails cancelling my orders stating items were out of stock.

    Having made a very polite phone call to customer services in an attempt to find out what is going on - and also to get multiple delivery charges refunded back to me.

    I was basically advised the following - that the majority of these items don't exist - they're some kind of virtual mirage in the complex IT M&S system. CS can't tell you if stock is available or not, because to be quite frank, their system doesn't enable them to establish an accurate figure.

    As if this wasn't bad enough, these non-existant items are then mysteriously re-appearing on the site for others to order. They then feel happy they've got a good deal, only for them to then receive the cancellation email themselves. CS understands that this is a cycle that repeats itself over and over again.

    I'm sure that if you spend enough time (and God alone knows I have), and make enough orders, then chances are you'll end up with something. But, I think that the odds are now heavily stacked against us.

    Just remember, you haven't 'got' the item until you physically open your delivery with your own hands - until then don't get too excited!

    Very disappointed in M&S and pity those who work in their customer services team having to repeatedly explain this to how many customers?????

    Have written a very strongly worded e mail to them via their site explaining how much frustration and distress their totally inadeqate on line system has caused me. I think if we all done this it may make them sit up and do something about it before the next sale!!!:rolleyes:

    Just like to say a big thank you to everyone who posted, I did manage to get about 10 items, have received 4 but haven't seen them yet as not at home right now.

    Thanks for the informative post.

    What was the outcome for you? Did you get any postage refunded?

    I think we should all be sending a letter to head office.....
  • Personally I can't complain about m&s,I've placed 5 orders over the weekend and I've had three of the delivery charges took off.I had two items cancelled which were boots and a gift set but I've had emails to say my other items have been despatched.Ive managed to get two coats (both £19 from £89),a cashmere jumper (£12 was £125) and two pairs of gloves,one sheepskin and the other leather and cashmere (both £5 from £45).A lot of people have had problems but I think I mustve been one of the lucky ones x
