Thanks :o know I should be pulling myself together but it all seems a bit overwhelming this evening.

Linda, sorry, yes, I replied last night but think it was after you had gone. I would LOVE to, thanks so much. Let me know when you are going, and I will do my very best to arrange childcare.

There's a choice of York or Manchester near us, I was thinking York would be nice, what do you reckon?

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Snaggs, take a piece of paper, write down everything that has been crap about 2009 then take it out the back and burn it. :T

Last new year, Shrek pretended to be ill as an excuse to not be with me on New Years Eve. He let me down and cancelled our plans at the last minute, but I ignored what I didn't want to see. He came up the next day and stayed for two days, meeting my kids for the first time and I was so happy because they got on so well.

He did all that knowing he had slept with two other people over Christmas and didn't want to be with me. He dumped me a few days later. I hate myself for letting him into the kids' lives. He broke my heart so badly I don't think it can ever be fixed. And that was far from the worst part of the year.

I need this horrible year to be over. I can't stop crying.

Sorry to be so miserable. I will feel much better tomorrow when it is all over.

Please don't cry Snags (passes a straw and a bottle of cranberry wine :D). You've come through it and you're a stronger person for it. Tash won't remember him and Ryan will only vaguely remember him and possibly not at all at some point soon. He is an utter and absolute !!!!!! who crawled back into his scummy pond before he could hurt you any more. You on the other hand are a beautiful woman with lovely children, amazing friends and I promise you that 2010 will be so much better. You just never know what is around the corner, just keep looking forward hun and grab every opportunity you see - it won't be long before something unexpected happens which changes your life.

Thanks, think I'm just exhausted and it's stopping me thinking straight.

Have just been grumpy with Mr Sunday too...seem to be in rather a destructive mood. Wish I could just go and sleep but have the kids because Stu decided yesterday not to take them to the party he is going to because there will be no other kids.

He didn't even ask if I had any plans, just decided he didn't want them.

Right, enough moaning from me. Will cheer up now. Thanks everyone. :grouphug:
