Ok,need advice. My brother is getting married on 24th of July. Have been checking plane tickets and so far no sale is on with easyjet or wizzair, the ticket would cost us around £100 each return for a weekend. Do you think I should book it now or do you think there will be sale and I can get it cheaper ?Mind you we need to fly on Friday and coming back on Sunday, and it's the middle of the summer. Just can't decide what to do.

I looked for April half term a few months ago, checked again the other day and found much better deals than I did then. Not sure about summer though, although there could be sales on nearer the time

Hi Missymoo, welcome along. Not much of a snow today, i could cycle to work. Hoping that it won't start again, I need to get back somehow. OH is at home, feeling sick. The third man flu in 6 weeks time, no comment.

I really really need to focus on assignment tomorrow, I'm not coming to work but need to finish it as I haven't even started reading for the next one which is due in 2 weeks time:eek:.

Money saving wise I just sent £2400 on OH's account, he is going to open an ISA today but only had £1200, I thought it was better interest than what I get on my 0.1% saving account. We need to save up an another £3200 each by April, it's doable but we have 5% saving account as well with 4x250 going in, so don't know what happens to the interest if we touch it.

Still haven't looked into the electricity and gas, maybe tmrw or on Friday.
BB still hasn't given us £5 bonus, don't really know whether I should complain one more time or just close the account.

Sport Hat i bought yest is going back to Debenhams today, OH thinks it's too pink:o.

    Have a good day everyone!

hi Kavics just wanted to say hello.

Too pink indeed?! Didn't know there was such a thing.

Apparently there is such thing-he even argued with me that it was purple. Than we agreed on "too pink". Also took back baking staff to TkMAxx, I just don't need it.

Had a look at my bank account, it doesn't look good this month, cc will be £750ish (we pay everything on CC collecting airmiles, including council tax, water bill, food, shopping, you name it we put it on Amex) which is about £200 more than usual (Xmas sales:mad:). So either I will use my first direct interest free overdraft for that £200 or I won't overpay my loan-either way it sucks. Doesn't want to be in debt anymore! I think I shall get rid of loan first, so might do the overpayment and will make sure that overdraft won't be more than £250.

    It's snowing again...

    Morning Diary,

    Have lots to do today:

    ~write assignment
    ~sign up OH for Ladbrooke
    ~do washing
    ~bake a cake
    ~put away Xmas decorations&tree
~cut out Xmas cards (for tags)
    ~hoover
    ~move money on bank account
~try to find pictures of flat and update ads
    ~go to the gym
    ~buy salmon and broccoli
    ~cook dinner
    ~call sister and mum :o
    ~go to post office
~take pictures of Xmas presents and put them on Ebay;)
    ~check flights for brother's wedding
    ~pay tax for flat

Ladbrooke's offer arrived on my bank account today, that's £31.83 pure profit. Very happy with that, will do the same on OH's account today.

There is not much snow in London today either-hope everyone was ok getting to work.

    Hi Missy,
Yes,my list is way too long, and I keep thinking about adding more things rather than sorting out what is on it actually:o.

Snow day is lovely, I'm off as well but not because of snow. There is nearly nothing over here. Make the most of it, go back to sleep:D (that's what I would do if I wouldn't need to do things).
