Sally, if the problem is the spark leads and the Garage had already said that it could have been them then make sure that no labour is charged.
Mind you it only takes 5 mins to change the leads anyway.
If the car is running OK but the EM light comes on...its probably nothing to do with the running of the car. Its more than likely something daft like an Emmission Sensor, could be a dodgy Sparkplug at the most.

Dont get screwed ( well, not by the garage bloke anyway:D)

This garage bloke is decent Pepe (not where I bought the car from) OH said if he knew it was the leads he'd go and buy some and do it himself but can't be sure. I really do hate cars!

    Afternoon Diary
Good and Bad day. Ive been totally overwhelmed by a gift from someone (you know who you are) which when I opened I cried, silly I know but I was really starting to worry about how I was going to buy food for the rest of the month. I never thought I would find friends that were so caring and generous on here and I love you all xxx

Stupid car has cost me another £138 today which I had to take out of B's savings. Breaks my heart having to use her money but I am hoping if I can stick to the £25 a week food budget I can pay a bit back into her account next month.

Feeling a bit Meh, stupid but highs and lows I guess
Need to sit down later and sort out Febs amended budget

Sally honey, Bea is only 4 she doesn't need her savings right now. If she understood what money was all about she would gladly give you her savings to pay for the car. You have many years to pay the money back into her account before she will need it, and you will, plus many times more.

So, give yourself a bit of a break, do what you need to do to get out of this hole. Before you know it this horrible time will pass and things will be so much better. You will be financially secure again. Don't break your heart over some silly savings, Bea gets everything she needs from you, in bucket loads so stop worrying about things which really don't matter right now. xx

Didn't realise you had a diary Sal...well I think I did, but I always forget about them. I second what Toto says.....I lose count of the number of times my mum spent my savings when I was younger, but she has repaid me many many times over her life....

DD1 emptied her penny jar for me when we were in the same situation as you are now. It taught her a lot! I know B is little but she will pick up on your worries so if it allows you to be a little relaxed in this difficult time then it is the right thing to do.

I am glad you can now eat for the rest of the month, I was begining to worry....

03:56 AM! Blimey Sammy are you a Vampire, up at that time of night ( a Vamp maybe:p).
Good that the cars sorted Sally, what was the problem?
I'm sure that B would rather you were happy that you could take her somewhere in the car than have savings at the mo'.

You are all right and I know that, guess I just have an issue because I vowed that I wouldn't ever be in the situation that my mum was when we little and I find history repeating itself! Think this is one of my other reasons for getting back to college and getting a career, don't want to spend the rest of my working life in and out of crappy jobs!

B is a good girl and she doesn't ask for much, in fact the things that she really wants are my time so that I can play with her and do stuff with her and home and at playpark..all free so I can't complain really!

    Thank you Toto :A

Anyway Today will be a NSD, OH has got to pop into agency to see this company about job, god I hope something comes of it! Then he is supposed to be doing some work for his BIL building them some new computers and setting up a few networks, so he will probably be away until Saturday. I'll quite enjoy the quiet in the house..I miss being able to potter and get on with jobs without him under my feet!
