I tried to find myself once. When I did, I didn't like me. So I left me standing there and made a few changes...

    you lot make me laugh....

Ive been pondering the idea of finding somewhere for me and B to move to...I could be waiting for months for OH to get a job and move out. Part of me would like to just move on the other thinks why should I move, we are settled, 2 mins from school and I really don't want to unsettle B.

ooh, that's a tough thing to have to think of - for me it was easy.....we own our house (well, with a mortgage) and as I was having the kids with me, and also because out of the two of us, I was the only one who could afford the repayments, it was obvious that I would stay put, while he found a flat to live in.

But if you are only rented......well, I would start keeping a keen eye out - there may well be somewhere fab and affordable nearby which you could easily move to, and it really would be a new start for you!

B is young enough to make such changes and pretty much take them in her stride Sally. X

I think you are right Hypno...will be keeping my eye out daily and if something comes up that is perfect then it will be my decision made. Everything out there at the moment is either too expensive or not close enough, i.e. Id have to drive into school, drive into work and would cost a fortune in petrol

Have you worked out a potential new SOA - been onto "entitled to" etc......?

OH thought he could only afford a bedsit, when he first mentioned leaving......but with the help of a seasoned DFW person at the other end of the sofa, he can happily afford a decent 2 bed flat within walking distance of work, safe area, blah blah blah.......it was only when he actually started to look properly that he realised what he could get within his new budgets.

I wouldn't be able to afford anything more than I am paying now £600 really. I don't think my income will change either. OH doesn't bring in any money as he's not getting JSA anymore. The only thing that will change is i'll get 25% council tax discount

But you might get help with the rather pricey rent.
