I agree with Bunny. It's only you and Bea who he needs to please, nobody else matters.
My mum didnt like DH, even begged me to leave him and go home when we were quite newly married. Hey, all these years on, I wish she was here to see how it turned out.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

It is weird because when I told her on the phone that I had met someone she said Oh he's not 50 is he (my sister is with someone who is 15 years older than her) and I said, No mum and she said ah well it wouldn't matter if he was. I was just quite taken back about her reaction. To be honest and I would only ever say this here often I would go out with ex and be totally embarrased how he looked, how he acted and really just wanted the ground to swallow me up because I knew a lot of my friends thought he was an arrse and I could have done better. I guess what im trying to say is that actually I don't care what R looks like, Im proud to go out with him, I don't care what he wears..although ive told him no string vests lol and I know that my friends will like him. If they don't then I guess they're not a true friend (unless there is real reason not to like him) Last night at the party as we left his friend who's party it was gave me a massive hug and said he's a great guy you know, you look after him...he then turned to R and said she's beautiful you lucky thing.....really made me smileI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

I *think* it may have been the cherry docs and the bomber jacket (oh, and the motorcycle)...and the shaved head, and the rest...that scared my Mom. I just saw sex on legs.

Why don't you talk to your Mum about her reaction? She may be worried as to her it seems relatively quick although we know how long you've been ready to move on from exOH.
IN the end though, as others say, it is you and Bea that matter and if he ticks your boxes/presses the right buttons they will have to learn to live with it x26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073
