    Day 98 Thursday 8th April
Money Spent - Nil - but check out all we did!
    Extra Money Earnt - Nil
    Hours / Days since last cigarette - 3M, 1 wk, 0 day
Number of sweets / cakes etc. - medium amounts
    Week weigh in on a Thursday: (12.5) +1 = 8 / 35lb :(
    HL Score: 7/10
Flying Stars: 2/5 for this week - not yet declared

Had a wonderful day out at another NTS place, and we even got given our missed Easter Egg from the other day when we laughingly told one of the staff!

Went for a walk in the village, visiting more famous places - we didn't mind the teensy bit of drizzle.

Drove to a very famous golf course for our picnic of coffee, popcorn, Easter Egg and biscuits (okay, there was fruit in the basket, but that got left in there!).

On the way home, stopped at a castle that's only 15 miles away, but never been there. You had to pay to get in, but we were the only people there, and when we asked about paying was told we could just go up and mooch around the grounds which was brilliant.

A fabulous day out, with not one penny spent!

Am back in love with the National Trust!!!

Oh - and if you think I've skirted over the weight gain ... hmmmm, I did!!!

    Day 99 Friday 9th April
Money Spent - £36.70 petrol; £13.37 groceries; £11.22 car stuff
    Extra Money Earnt - Nil
    Hours / Days since last cigarette - 3M, 1 wk, 1 day
Number of sweets / cakes etc. - 2 cream eggs
    Week weigh in on a Thursday: (12.5) +1 = 8 / 35lb :(
    HL Score: 7/10
Flying Stars: 5/5 for this week - 2/5 declared

Had to get some car stuff, and bought some picnic things for tomorrow and 'nice' food for the cat who has totally gone off the one we bought her.

Am 'depressed' about tomorrow - we'd planned a lovely day out, but DH just said we can't afford it, was an NTS day, so only petrol costs as picnic already bought - **sigh** - he's right I suppose!

Number of sweets / cakes etc. - Lots on Picnic

Had a fabulous day out at yet another famous Scottish golf course (hee-hee); followed by another gorgeous picnic in the grounds of a big castle. Weather stunning. Spent the rest of the day fixing the bunny hutch - she's loving being back outside.

I've realised though, that all our pets are so old - we kinda timed them to 'last' as long as our children were young ... and now they're grown up, so are the animals. Our cat looks so frail, the bunny is all grey (she's normally black) - she's 8, we've just lost one hammy, and the other one is looking decidedly ancient (she's 3) ... I think we're in for a sad year :-(

Anyway, make the most of them for now - it's lovely to see them enjoying the sun too!

Whew! Read the whole lot in one sitting. Will admit to trying to work out what H/L Score is - no luck and none of my business.

I stopped smoking 3 weeks ago and have gained 10lbs!!! My jaws should be wired!

You have done VERY well and you are VERY disciplined. I am VERY impressed.

    Hi Redmadcurls,

Thanks so much for stopping by and ***MASSIVE*** well dones for the stopping smoking!

It doesn't always feel organised, sometimes it feels hugely disorganised, like this morning posting up LAST WEEKS menu (although it is hanging up in the kitchen if I cba to walk downstairs!!!).

Was chuffed to pass Day 100 yesterday and see that we're about £2k less in debt than the 1st of Jan ... so that's a big wow. The weight is a nightmare!!! And I am so ill disciplined there - I need motivation big time to stop eating chocolate.

Thanks again for your support x

You are welcome - and I am completely with you on the chocolate! Yesterday I munched an easter egg and a large bar of fruit and nut!!

Day 22 not smoking but I am on Champix, and yesterday when I forgot to take it, my God, I craved and craved fags - so not over hump yet!

Will continue to read with intrigue - good luck!

Another gloriously warm day that is screaming out for me to be on the beach, however, have just done 6 loads of washing from DD's school trip (she had an amazing time!).

Managed to make a cheap weeks menu from the dwindling finances - and the shop was paid for in cash from cashback from a few weeks ago (so should save a bit in the bank!)

Decorated the inside hallway and I think the paint colour might need some getting used too - it's vivid yellow! What on earth possessed us to choose that colour I'll never know!

Was last day of hols today, back at work tomorrow.

Painted bunny's hutch so she really is all sparkling and new!
