Yummy, lovely chocolate to wake up too - what more could a girl ask for!

We decided to re-acquaint ourselves with the NTS (using membership) and visited a new to us property to join in with the Easter Egg Hunt! Absolutely horrific beyond belief. One child (aged about 10 - 12) sat in an antique umbrella stand and inevitably it broke. The family, instead of being appalled beyond belief, fell about laughing! I was so angry at the total lack of supervision, not only from the boys parents, but also from the NTS - it is up to them to ensure adequate numbers through the door, and it was way too overcrowded. Needless to say we swiftly left!

Did a Mr T Grocery shop (I know, I'm late posting up next weeks menu again!! but it is done and on the clipboard downstairs!) to try to cover this week - hopefully all done. The best bit about Mr T's is their willingness to take coupons! Managed to get a new half price kettle (ours drastically leaked) as well which was good.

You have to remember that most of the NTS staff are volunteers.

Hi Beanilou, one in Glasgow! Was not so much the volunteer staff who looked frazzled beyond belief at the huge numbers of people, it was that they'd allowed so many people into the property at one time - I'm sure there must have been an organiser somewhere, who had the authority to say, whoooa - stop, if we let anymore people in there will be problems.

Reorganised DD's bedroom - gave it a massive clear out, cleaned the carpets, touched up the paintwork and fixed everything that was broken!

DD had a friend for a sleepover, so ended up with sweets and cakes galore as well as gold top milk for said friend???

Something is still up with the cat, who is once again not eating ... although she did like the bloomin' expensive gold top milk which was something I suppose.

More cleaning done today - but that was it.
