  • I am useless at sleeping, i had a good few months where i got at least 6 hours sleep. Alas i am now back to staying awake until 2am and waking at 6 am.
Hope it gets sorted for you, but i think i am just going to give up personally and try and use the time productively.

Yes, I think I just have to deal with it - I have always been a poor sleeper......when I was about 12, I went several months with only a couple of hours sleep each night - even really high doses of sleeping pills lost their effectiveness :o How I ever got through school during that time I will never know!! It did have the result that I have always been reluctant to take anything to help me sleep unless I really am desparate because I took far too many during that time, which is quite scary.

I really can't see myself getting up at 2am to do the ironing though.......I'll stick with reading a book for a couple of hours I reckon!!

I wouldn't iron at 2am- unless the out law was coming for a visit:rolleyes::rotfl:

But i read a tremendous amount of books, so will just have to raid libraries. Plus i sit and make lesson plans-( that was sad) so i switched to scrabble, but that makes me more alert.. I can't win sometimes.:o:rotfl:

And probably once you accept that its part of you and realise that you are going to wake up every night...you will sleep better!

That's what I am hoping, Sally!

Bananas are supposed to be good for such things too.....the nearest I have got though is some banoffee pie.....so it would be wrong not to give it a go :rotfl:

When we worked at the prison we were told we were not allowed to have bananas in our packed lunches etc, in case the prisoners got hold of the skins and tried to smoke them.....
