oh boy do i empathise with this not sleeping, i have been terrible for about the last 4 years, i go to sleep really easily but wake up about 3am each night and start dozing off about 6am...it drives me crazy. my doctor just says it happens in mid-life (whatever age that is, seems to vary)...all she could suggest was not to have caffeine at all, so i don't, and all the usual stuff that has been suggested on here. Nothing helps really but if i do have caffeine i don't sleep - may be 1 or 2 hours. i have given up trying to find something that works and hope i will grow out of it.....sigh :confused::confused: at least today was a NSD and hope tomorrow will be too

Fraid so I spent 5 long years at uni reading Microbiology, drinking beer and investigating the many varied causes of halitosis. Coupled with morning sickness this was perhap my biggest gaff to date. Hard to be certain though as there have been so many.

Shucks. Well don't you lot revert to bio-speak as I'll be stuck if you do. Knocking up a passable translation of sciency stuff from French is about my limit.

Hands up all your other geeks out there: state your specialist geek subject and let Pickle know what she's dealing with, please! :p

    Hiya Hypno
DS is so much better now (fingers crossed!!). We're reducing his medication each month and he should be off it by the summer. When I think back to how poorly he was I realise how lucky we are. DH has taken him away for the weekend to do 'boys' things. DD and I are having a girlie weekend. It's nice just to have one to spoil once in a while.

Hope you and yours are well. I sympathise with the sleeping. It doesn't happen to me often but when it does it drives me mad! I've started just getting up and reading till the early hours so I don't get wound up. Hope it improves soon xx
