hi hypno - glad the diet is starting off well. I weigh about what I did or more than when I gave birth to DD 6 years ago - sadly that is 2 stone more than when I gave birth to DS 11 years ago.... I think it is safe to say that I do need to lose a little weight. I am starting with just trying to eat smaller portions, less snacks and actually get some use out of our wii fit and see where that takes me!

Se - sorry to hear you've had your purse nicked - how upsetting! Good news that the loss is limited by insurance

Surfbabe - thoughts are with you - hugs

Hi Hypno & the Hypnoettes diet & fitness club,

Will join in when I'm back in Switz next week. Admittedly not being that bad surprisingly!!! There's a free breakfast buffet, free afternoon tea with sandwiches, patisserie & scones with clotted cream/jam, and cocktail hour (actually 2.5 hrs) with free alcohol (beer, wine & spirits) & hot and cold nibbles. But I'm managing to resist the temptation and not overeat too much, it's probably a bit of an Atkins week, as I'm trying to avoid the carb, but there's lots of protein (e.g. had smoked salmon at breakfast, afternoon tea and evening nibbles), Not sure if it's good or naughty I eat the topping off the canape's and leave the bases :o. Not enough fruit/veg/salad. But when it's free you can't complain really.

Exercise wise, I don't like the underground and once you work out the land map it's often quicker to walk betwen places, so we're walking everywhere other than using DLR when we arrived, so at least we're burning calories that way. Also using the hotel stairs at least 50% of the time.

Anyway, still getting back into theatre going, got discount tickets for the matinee of Private Lives, Kim Cattrell from Sex in the City was really good as were the rest of the cast, unfortunately the cold bug is coming into it's own, so deteriorating rapidly this evening, so it's lucky we didn't pick an evening show instead. Hope it's not too bad tomorrow, as we'd like to do more things before we fly back on Sunday.

Do try the TKTS booth if you go to London, what we've found is that we're getting the expensive seats discounted to the price of the not so nice seats, maybe with the recession the cheaper seats are selling out and the more expensive one's are being left for TKTS to selloff. What we're doing is going with a preferred 1 or 2 shows, but other possibilities as a backup, and see what's available when we get there.

With the exception of the bug and the theft, se, you sound as though your visit has been fab! And walking round the place is an excellent way to burn off any extra calories consumed. I'm not sure I could resist when food was being put in front of me like that!

Just the thought of someone else doing my cooking for me for a while - well, it would be rude to then resist what they have lovingly prepared :D
