With the exception of the bug and the theft, se, you sound as though your visit has been fab! And walking round the place is an excellent way to burn off any extra calories consumed. I'm not sure I could resist when food was being put in front of me like that!

With OH's work I've stayed a lot in hotels with super breakfast buffet's, and you quickly see & realise the consequences of not being sensible when you're there with the regular business travellers, it's OK for one off holidays, but long term it's a disaster.

We've normally avoided the all you can eat offer's in restaurants, more so recently after seeing a programme on TV where I think it said you eat upto a third more calories when it's like that.
  • Been lurking for a while and thought I'd say hello. fair shout on the point saving tonight....I haven't managed that for weeks!!!!!

Hi Wiggletots, hello. Not a clue on WW points, but sounds like you've had a good day :)
  • I'm shovelling crisps and wine down my throat as I read your diary Hypno. Somehow losing weight is so much harder than managing money, and that's hard enough. You have my very best wishes.

SH - early days yet - I've managed 2 days so far.......several months to go

As the lady says benben :D
Macgirl, did you do the whole dvd? :T :TI just about manage to get through the legs and bums bit but then need a days rest before I carry on with the next bit :o

I DID manage the whole thing yes! :j:j:j
The last time I did it was about 3 years ago :rotfl: I am aiming to do it twice a week and go out running twice a week.

All my workmates are on nutracheck and are getting obsessed with exercise "Oooh, doing the hoovering burns X calories!" etc  So I'm trying to catch the bug!

As Hypno points out though, it's for the long haul and I tend to be a one-hit wonder......:o

Morning all - TFI Friday, and another week almost survived.....

I got £1 on a scratch today - the best I have had for ages, so a small step closer to payout, and £19.50 in the bank from a scrap of mystery shopping and a small matched bet, which has now been transferred to the pot. I don't think I am expecting any more extra money through now until the end of March, so I need to pick up the matched betting (thank you benben for kicking my backside occasionally) and visit the GIOL board for up to date offers on a more regular basis, as I must be missing out on a fair bit just by not going and looking.......must try harder.

I'm feeling very tired this morning and a tad emotional. I think it will be a long day, and I would rather snuggle under my duvet and stay there for a while.....:o

I hope you all have a good day x

Big hug for the day Hypno x.

I've been up since five typing up glasses mystery shops. I've just read the instructions for another mystery shop, today, and realise that I am supposed to purchase all the goods with certain sell-buy dates. It's a huge supermarket in an area that I think this product will be very popular, so may cost me a fortune. Must read notes more carefully in future..

Hiya ... sorry it feels like this is going to be a tough day for you, I hope you can get through without too many wobbles. If there's no bacon butties in the offing, you need something else special/yummy! And I definitely know what you mean about visiting GIOL more often, I am *bad* at that. Thats one to write down for next week, I think.

    Take care xxx
