I've done this several times and it's great - particularly when OH wanted a new coat from there (had had other one for about 9 years so couldn't really complain) was a big purchase but the £5 off helped!

I'm fine thanks Beanie, and I return from Africa at the end of Feb for 8 weeks and move properly out here in May.........

It's terribly hot here, the food is cheap (if you buy local produce, a small jar of pasta sauce was £3  but 7 squash totalled £1.50 :rotfl:)
On the other hand, we have power failures and the water was off without notice for 48 hours last week :D

I keep reading of your snow........;)

Pania, do you just have to hand it over and they give you a voucher? Does it have to be any specific garment and can you do it more than once? Just thinking you could buy stuff at car boot for like 25p and then take to oxfam?

edit - just found the details on the oxfam site
anything from marks and spencer - it is dated for the month you are in - and you spend £35 to get £5 off... I did it last month. You can use it with your cashback vouchers too if you have their credit card...

Evening all - today has been an alright sort of day.....starting off by being paid a day early. My pay included a small tax rebate. I was one of those who has been caught up in the latest Inland Revenue muddle, so they allocated part of my tax code to an old job. I got enough back in my pay to treat myself to a new top from Wallis - £25, so not extortionate, but I wouldn't have treated myself otherwise, so it was a nice thing to have!

This morning, the bus driver decided to give us all a free ride. Not only did I save a whopping £1.25 as a result, but it was really nice to see everyone going instantly from Monday morning gloom to having a little lift and a smile as they got on the bus :)

Work was alright - I seemed to take everything in my stride today - perhaps as a result of everything I've just written!

Then I got home to a wonderful gift from someone on MSE. A truly beautiful present that I feel absolutely touched to have received. Thank you :kisses3:

If my whole week continued as today has been, then I will be cured of all stresses and hassles by the weekend. What do you think my chances are :rotfl:

Never ever come across free bus fare - how nice is that!
