    Hi Hypno,

Disastrous start to the London visit, they said hotel computer went down added to by major blips, so ended up wasting practically a day hanging around for the room to be sorted, allocated a grotty room, then a borderline room for one night, so couldn't unpack really unpack then had to re-pack the bits, then switched to the room we asked for, so now we have a nice room :) Pity we wasted so much time, not sure if we should complain or not, don't want to cause problems for individuals in the current climate.

Anyway, back to the good things, sounds like DS & DD had a super time. I had a super time seeing my 2 DS's :)

Discovered if you're travelling and need internet, the PAYG broadband offers now are pretty good if you're spending a few nights in the same place. For us it was far cheaper signing up for a PAYG than using the hotel hyped wifi or bt openzone prices. But you do need to check coverage first.

Not had chance to see the olympics other than saw a bit about the uk girl winner, upto 85 mph !!! Those suits have no padding for the times they do hit the walls!!

Pleased to hear you're taking up your skiing as a 'you' thing.

Sadly reporting a yoga disaster due to hotel etc disasters, so will probably have to take a few days back to reconsolidate before stepping forward :(

Sorry if this sounds like a 'down post' but seeing DS's was super, but when you're posting you tend to stress the high's & the lows, but ignore the balancing middle bits, and it's normally the balancing bits in the middle that help us cope with the high's and low's - hope this make's sense :)

Makes perfect sense, Se.....glad you have had highs seeing DSs and also glad that the hotel room is now sorted, although it is no fun being in a horrid place.

milann the blue lines are just there as a guide - as much for the spectators as anything.......the skiers can go outside the lines without problem, as long as they don't miss the gates.....

I was wondering about the blue lines, tho I don't watch it enough to know whether they're normally there or not, oops. I feel like a faker on Hypno's thread at the moment :)

Se - sorry you've had such a horrible start to your London trip, and not even had the consolation of your yoga - I hope it improves for you now.

No Shopping in New York?????!!!!! :rotfl: Good luck with that one! :p

I LOVED the Skier Cross - it's completely bonkers!!! It was so fast even the commentators lost the plot - Errol Flynn? Classic.

    Hope you sleep well x

    Monday morning........bleurgh!!

Although, on a brighter note, pay has gone into the bank a day early, which is always a welcome start to the week! I can get number crunching at some point in the day and work out my initial budgets for the month, and I shall then have some idea of where I am, financially.

I am due in some scraps of M/S money, amazon etc over the next week or so, but that will go in my emergency savings pot, and doesn't amount to a huge amount.....but apart from that, I am not expecting any more in, so have to be careful.

10ps on scratches - nothing else to report - have a good day x

I've been working all weekend so only now getting a chance to catch up.

Typical Hypno - whirlwind of decisions, activities etc. Sounds like the trip to your friends did you the world of good :j

Hope the number crunching goes well.

    Have a good week all.
  • Had a quick read back and thrilled that you are factoring skiing back into your life. You deserve to do something just for you and that will keep your mind and body active and be sociable - fantastic :T

You have come so so far in a few weeks - you are moving your life on to more positive things and it's just nice to see that you have made some "me me me" time as well.

    Have a lovely day xx

Early pay is always good... I've had a little flirtation with dooyoo over the weekend, as I had a few points in there lolling about - are you tempted to do any more? There's the travel section too - I wrote an *essay* on Liverpool just off the top of my head that earned lots of points. I was thinking of your bus journey, but I've just realised that you probably want to close your eyes and just drift when you're on the bus. Oh well. Hope you slept a bit better anyway - how long is it till the new beds reach you?

Good morning Hypno. Only problem with an early payday is that it often leads to a five week month before you get your next pay!

Shopping trip to New York - maybe your treat for you and the kids when you become debtfree (apart from the mortgage that is, otherwise you will be 109 before you get to the Big Apple!)

    Have a good day.
