£5 casino money has been received in my bank account, so transferred to the debt pot......and my mortgage payment has been allocated, so I have amended my signature to reflect that. There is another payment due out this weekend, but that has not yet shown as having been allocated, so I will not count that one until tomorrow when it appears on the online banking.
All heading the right way, though, so am happy enough for now

Well done Hypno! You've done fantastically well with your flyladying and decluttering this holiday, it must have made a big difference.
Reading about your labours has made me feel a tiny bit better about my mess. While my house is a disgrace, I don't have a problem throwing out clutter. We just have one small box of decorations and no tat is kept. I even throw out the children's lovely homemade advent calendars each year (meaning they have to make new ones the next).
Dealing with your Dad's photos must have been very hard. Funnily enough, my dad phoned me yesterday to say he wants to give me a box of old family photos.... the joy.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

Honestly, seaxwyn, if you saw the amount of "stuff" that is in this house/loft/garage/cabin/shed, you would feel very good about your own place, I am sure! I think it is a case of "you have to see it to believe it"!!
However, by the end of this year, it will be very different - I will be free of debt, and free of clutter.......that's a huge amount of freedom that is coming my way, and I am ready for itSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. I have a cupboard at the top of the stairs. It was - I assume - once an airing cupboard. It is huge...4ft high 5ft wide..two doors. It would be easier to tell you what isn't in there than what is..
One day - this year - it will happen.DC.

Am off to take doggy for a walk - she is going home today as her "parents" are home from nicuragra (can't spell it but its is in central/south america!!) today.

Have decluttered the Christmas decorations - both trees and the stuff we want to keep are boxed up - 3 less boxes than we started out with :T
I have got rid of a two sets of lights that don't have any hope of working any time in the future, a carrier bag of tatty decorations, and a charity bag of things that are just not to my taste but will quite possibly suit someone else. Just need to actually get it all in the loft again by the end of the day.
I have named all DS's stuff ready for him to go away.....that is all packed and ready for OH to deliver to someone who is driving there, and who has kindly offered to take DS's luggage out there for him to save him taking it on the plane. So that will make it a lot easier on the outward journey, at least....although he will have to bring it all home himself.
So, progress slowly being made.....
DC, I have a monster of a cupboard under the stairs - I did sort it all out last year, but you wouldn't know it :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
