Thanks guys - am now having hot milk with brandy.......then will go to bed, and hope that tomorrow I am energised again for the next round of decluttering, which will be the Christmas decorations - I am banishing all tat from my house. It will become a tat free zone, you wait and see!

I don't like whiskey at all, so have no idea what it is like in milk.....but brandy in hot milk is a real comforter for days like this.....

  • I don't think we have any brandy, after the christmas pud was drowned in it.

    I shall investigate xxx

Proper Scottish whisky doesn't have an "e" in it.

    /pedant :D

A smidge of whisky in your coffee is good for what ails you at this time of year

We have the only English distillery near us, FF - and that has a fully fledged "E" in it.........:p

I prefer Brandy though - no spelling issues there.......unless I am buying Courvoisier......

Happy New Year hypno and everyone. Well done on sorting your father's photos. It must have been gruelling but a relief to have done it.

Sorry to hear about the cancer diagnoses of youir relatives Walshy boy, I hope they are doing well.

Regarding drying washing in Australia I remembering hanging out washing with a friend in Alice Springs and going back to the beginning immediately and taking it straight back in again as it was dry.

  • Hypno, I've subscribed to your diary. I may have had your old one on my list, but my old list was long so I deleted.

I hope you achieve all your goals in 2010. Here's to the New Year! :D
