Hypno, it's a chance to organise an activity for you each week, with no problems about what to do with the kids :) Maybe if it's not the right day for something you want to do you could rearrange it?

Yes, I will be happy to have a couple of hours to myself, whenever they occur.

We won't be doing a "formal" arrangement - the children are old enough to decide themselves when they want to visit and to arrange it with him. Also, their hectic sporting and social lives don't lend themselves to a regular Thursday evening, or every other weekend, or whatever, so we have all got to be very flexible.

As long as they DO see each other, that is all that matters to me, and so I am pleased that they have arranged to go this evening.....and I am reserving that slot to soak in the bath, with my choice of music on loud, and the bathroom door wide open :)

The mortgage is subject to the house valuation, which I am hoping to arrange today (came home yesterday to a message on the answerphone from the valuers, so should be able to sort out this morning)....and yes, I am putting everything bar the 0% card on the mortgage, to free up my budget for day to day living.

Then, if my budget is working well, I will start overpaying by a similar amount to the "cost" of the original loans if that makes sense, so that I don't end up paying my 2 year loan over 18 years (which would be easy to do, but against all MSE principles and very costly in the long run!).

You do realise you need to continue accounting for your 18k separately so those of us who follow you get our fix - I hope you have factored this in to your plans :)

Have a good, relaxing day, get that endorphin fix every time you cross something off your list :T

    :T

Yes, yes, yes, I know! But sadly it will be going up to about £21k to factor in the costs of doing all this.......:(

Once the new figures are in place, I will update the signature accordingly and we can start again.....

Thought I could withdraw from a bingo site, but it's come up with the outside geographical area blurb again, so can't until back in the UK. Now got about £150 stuck in two sites

I know I could get someone to log in for me, but like to be as squeaky clean as possible, as don't want to run into problems.

Just a pest, I want to add it to my totals, but can't until it's safely transferred.

On a brighter note, between me & OH got £52.50 on it's way from one site & OH £10 on it's way from another :)

Oh, and OH got another £5 amazon voucher from BP this morning :)
  • Morning hypno,

    enjoy your few days off.

I know you want to blitz the house, but find time to stop and have some 'me time' and just chill a bit. It's probably all a bit weird at the moment and it was a good idea to take these few days off.

    Take care

However, the Halifax computer works on a "house price index" system, which doesn't allow for regional differences in the level of house price changes, so the figure that they came up with is very different (and is not going to result in me getting the mortgage).

So, whilst it should be ok when a "real person" does the value, at the moment it is "computer says no".......

Morning Hypno! When I first read this, I freaked out on your behalf .... then I read the second bit - gulp. I hope all the valuation stuff goes okay today. I'll be thinking of you with the daytime telly too.....

Well, the kitchen is done - even the windows cleaned, and the fridge cleared out of anything that was in danger of walking out by itself :o

I'm having a quick coffee, then will do the lounge.....

Valuation is arranged for tomorrow morning, which is good because it means I don't have to take any extra time off work.

And I have no plans for going out at all today, so I should achieve another NSD and my £20 should live to see another day :T

I'll catch up with Jeremy Kyle this afternoon on ITV2.....
