Hypno, month off or no month off, I reckon that this money-saving lark is so ingrained into you by now that can't help yourself and that you will still do better than most (especially me - I have noooo money left for the rest of the month ). You have a good plan in mind, so best of luck. x

Glad to hear you are taking a step back this month but as Double Trouble said 'I reckon Hypno on a month off "moneywise" is still a force to be reckoned with.'
Much better than me on a big effort month, lol! I hope you do get chance to do some be good to you stuff too.

Shaun and Surfbabe hope your parents are on the mend soon, horrible time. I looked after my nan with Alzhimers and it is not a pleasant experience even if there were some good moments. Even though they were hard to see at the time.

Yes, when I say " a month off" I mean that I won't be putting pressure on myself to make £10 a day, and I won't feel bad if I haven't thought about putting anything on ebay etc.

I will, of course, still do my daily scratches, and if any free bets fall into my inbox, they won't be ignored either. If my broadband/car insurance/mobile phone contract comes up for renewal I will hunt down my next supplier through quidco, etc. Banking will still be checked several times a day, as I endeavour to ensure my budgets are being kept to.

So, generally speaking, I am still on the DFW trail......being a good moneysaver along the way, but have no expectations, no challenges, and no stress if I don't reduce the debt/increase the savings significantly for a while. Staying sane (or indeed becoming sane) is top of my list of priorities right now!

Here she goes again - setting herself impossible challenges ;). Surely this is beyond even you Hypno (insert banned shoulder shrug smiley). And boy, if you did achieve it you'd be v lonely on here 7.gif

    :hello:

    Oh Hypno.

My heart is lodged in the deep layers of the earth somewhere. I physically sank when I read your "news". I've not been around since last year () and have just caught up with your spangly (not so new now) diary.

I've nothing new to add to the barrage of love, hugs and support but I am adding my thoughts and positive vibes and wishing you and yours all the best x

I think having Feb 'off' is a great idea, just time to 'be' is important. I know there's a difference in your situation and mine, but somehow the healing process is similar.
I know I've said it before, looking after you, is important because the children pick up on it. If you're okay, they are okay.
    Crappy DVD's, bad 80's music all help...I promise. :)

On a slightly trivial note I have £18.40 of my £20. Not the best start!

On an even more trivial note...the smiley kidnapping!! No Mr Rolly Eyes or Ms Shruggy shoulders?! Bah! I roll my eyes and shrug my shoulders at the very concept!

I have made a pact with myself to buy one nice thing for myself every month. It might be clothing, perfume, a new bedspread, anything really as long as it is not "essential".......it need not be expensive, but it must be FOR ME :) I cannot afford to be silly over it, as the budget just won't allow, but I will somehow manage to find a little extra to do this.

But don't worry, I haven't bought anything yet, so my £20 is still intact :T
