    don't want to sound heartless, but have you contacted tax credits too? I think you earnt more than OH but you may still be entitled to something, especially as a single parent?

    I don't know one women to go through this and not come out the other end at least a dress size smaller and with a better hair cut!!

    Also don't know many men that come through this without regretting their foolish behaviour!

    I would save the extra £10 and treat yourself to something in six weeks time.
