    So......we went to the city and I bought DS a new pair of curtains and a lampshade for his room as he still has the Harry Potter ones that we put in when he was little :o The old ones can be car booted or ebayed, and the new ones are much more appropriate for a 14 year old, yet I was able to play safe with plain Navy curtains so when we move, they should be useful *somewhere* in the new house (hark at me getting ahead of myself!).

    DD bought pictures for her room - I have said that when it is immaculate, I will decorate, as it has not been painted since before we had the first student in there, and the paintwork is rather grubby, so hopefully the fact that she bought wall art today means that she is intending on me painting it soon. Perhaps the tidying we did today has nudged her along slightly.....

    We shall head out this evening, now that I have a car I have less excuse, so for anyone who is not hanging about this evening, have a very good new year xx

    Oh yes, very relaxed......go and ski, take some food with you which everyone puts on a big huge table, then help yourselves to someone else's contribution which is much nicer than your own Christmas leftovers :o Bar open, DIY karaoke for those that want, and auld lang syne at midnight before heading home.

    Loads of kids, who all know each other, so they are all happy, and everyone is generally just themselves. I can't be doing with anything much more than that :o

    Nah - he used to work at the ski club.......and doesn't really have the same "comfort" there that the rest of us do. Too close, if you know what I mean. Much better that he goes and spends time with other friends that are not connected in any way.
