Well, we didn't buy the car.......and I would like to put off doing so for as long as I can.....we have managed without for 18 months, and can do so for a little longer.

We need to get more in savings/less in debt before I am comfortable spending any more money.....sending the children skiing/to china has wiped me out, and if we buy a car, then my ideal of being debt free by 40 will prove to be more difficult than it already is.

We've bought our last few cars from there, with no problems - though I've never spent much less than £3000, but still might be worth a look

Or Ebay? I know a few people who have bought and sold on there, with great success - though I know there are pitfalls.....Hope you get fixed up

Makes sense to get a car with dd staring lessons - have you got someone who knows what to look for though - we've been 'had' more times than I care to remember buying cheap and spending MORE to keep them on the road!!!!!
