I didnt check it out as thoroughly as I would usually have done as I was away visiting family at the time. But I think they have gone down online recently. Im just surprised at how much the upgrades were. That was at Park Resorts though so maybe its different with other companies. Thanks.

It's a pain when they come out isn't it, your life gets put on hold until all the tokens are out. You become obsessed you'll forget to buy the paper - or is that just me!!!!

I agree with upgrades, it does vary, however we always take the dog so have to be in a lower standard caravan anyway. £20 for a dog v's £9.50 for a person...... now that annoys me!

What you could always do in future is place where you're wanting to go and when and I'm sure people on here will PM you with costs, I know I would. We all just sit around on the forum waiting for the last code so it would pass the time :j
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

I'm off to Devon Cliffs 20th September, anyone been before?

Yep, been four times now with my nine-year-old twins, just the three of us.

Absolutely loved it from the minute we got there until the minute we left. It's a big old camp with more than 2,000 caravans in it but everyone seems to be quite close to the complex. Four or five pools inside and out, beach really close and really clean, smart caravans. Great crazy golf course there too....:D

I always put it as my first choice every time and have sometimes been lucky, other times not. It's Haven's flagship park and it really looks and feels like it. I reckon you'll love it.

I went there in October half term three years ago and the boys (then six) were so happy one evening, singing and paddling in the sea (it was warmer than it sounds) as the sun went down that I could have cried with happiness. Great park, happy days.

    Hope you enjoy your break.:T

My cheque was cashed on feb 10th but I've received nothing yet and can't get through to the sun hotline. The number is always engaged. Is anyone else still waiting?
  • yes im having exactly the same problem as you. my payment went out on the 15th january and still not heard anything and the money has been taken. let me know if you have any luck getting through or come across another number
  • i rang this number

can telephone Customer Services direct on 020 7860 1129 from the U.K.

and pressed option 2 for all other enquiries and the lady helped me and told me i do have a holiday.

I didn't realise until after I got home from the post office that I'd missed the deadline by about three days, I spent another couple of days kicking and cursing myself and then forgot all about it. This morning I notice that the cheque went out of our bank yesterday so all in a panic

We love Devon Cliffs, It's only 40 miles away, but perfect for a quick get away with our baby and 2 year old. She's been asking "when can we go back to the caravan?" all winter!

I think it's one of Havens top sites, so it has very good facilities and entertainment. Has a good pool, a little noisy though when it's busy! Beach is nice, but if the tide isn't in your favour it may have loads of seaweed on it. The Spa is ideal if you fancy it. We've always had really lovely caravans there with our Sun holidays.

I would recommend Bicton park for a nice day off-site really close by, you can use Tesco day out vouchers there, but you need to book them on-line before you go, £10 worth of entry for a £2.50 clubcard token, bargain, and there's oodles of nice beaches and other places to visit around.

We're going to Challaborough bay this May for a change (after 2 stays and 2 day trips to Devon Cliffs last year) hope we get on just as well!

You're right, it is Haven's top site - they've spent millions on it in the last five years.

Well I took the plunge on Wednesday last week and rang the hotline to see if I had a holiday. Couldn't get through on the proper number so tried the alternative customer services number listed earlier on this thread. After a couple of false alarms, got through and was informed that we do indeed have a holiday...

...at Devon Cliffs in October!!! :j:beer::D:T:):):T:D:beer::j

Only a three nighter across the weekend but it's little more than ninety minutes away by car from Bristol (at a push) so I'm dead happy with that. Don't have to pay the balance until early September either.
