We always take a little plug in heater away with us and leave it switched on in the hallway of the van for the duration of the holiday. You've already paid your service charge so it's not going to cost you any extra for electric. Small heaters are not that expensive to buy (probably less than the cost of the upgrade) and if you use it more than once you are actually in profit if that's the only reason you upgrade

lol I was only posting for others,it's not me who is going with Haven :)

I don't usually bother with upgrades ( have twice in the past )
like you we take small heaters, for the bedrooms. As we find the heating in the living areas sufficient

I got my confirmation this morning, with all the added suppliments its a lot more than I expected. It says I can take £20.00 off for linen which I will as were taking our own, but there is also 3x complex passes added on, surely if you dont want to use any facilities there you shouldnt have to pay? I thought this was optional but there is no mention of it being optional and only a cut off strip to pay the remaining balance. We were planning to use the caravan only for sleeping and spending our days out and about, our kids are only small so we wouldnt be using any club rooms. This is for Solway Holiday village if anyone has been before and knows the set up then id appreciate any advice. thanks

Did you not read all the info before booking ? it states what the extra costs will be for each park

Yes I did read it thanks, it said optional in the info on the website, but the letter I got only stated that the linen was optional, it didnt say the complex passes were optional, it said I had to pay them. I expected an extra £30 for electricity but not £20 for the passes.
My previous post tells you I got it all sorted.

Has anyone who has chosen sun holiday for May/June time had there confirmation yet?

I had the insurance come through today for my holiday but not the confirmation yet. We're going late May to France with Siblu. Last year when I did a Siblu through The Sun I had to chase up the company as I never got a confo & 3 weeks before we were due to go I hadn't paid the balance. The Sun gave me their phone number & everything was fine.

I have also received my insurance today, but not my holiday confirmation. I am also going late May to France. Hopefully we should receive our confirmation shortly!!

Yes, from memory last year, this is all the documentation you will receive & it does include breakdown cover as long as your car is less than 10 years old. Mine has that number at the top next to the name - OPT0*** - looks preprinted but this could be the policy number for The Sun deal.
I didn't book the ferry but am hoping for the brochure with discount code to book nearer the time. I like to play around on the website with different ports & times to get the best deal. Got the fast service last year but might go for an overnight one as there's a longer drive at the other end this time.
