You cannot go wrong with menorcasinglesholidays.com. I am 50 something and I have been with them twice, 5 organised walks; about 5 or so miles challenging but gentle, different restaurants booked for us at the end of each walk, up to 15 other singles from all walks of life (pardon the pun) all lovely people.

If you do go please give my regards to John and Carolyn, they will know it's me!!

Forgot to mention you get your own room and you can opt out of the walks if you wish, things are organised but not in a holiday camp way!!

A few years ago (pre-recession!) I went to St Lucia on The Bodyholiday- if you google it- on my own as were probably 50% of people there. The website makes it sound a bit crazy fitness, but you really could do as much or as little as you wanted- just not particularly cheap, but it was the most revitalising experience of my life with a spa treatment everyday!

I was skiing pre-Christmas and met a lady who mentioned that she goes sailing every may on her own with I think- Majorca sailing? (might be worth a Google)- if you fancy something different.
I also went skiing on my own last year with a company called The Chalet Experience who do solo weeks- very good.

I used to do lots of trips with Spice www.spiceuk.com though not specifically for singles, most people are. There are loads of activity holidays, walking trips, social and sightseeing tours.

I'm also on the mailing list for a rather nice looking upmarket company called Andalucian Adventures (who go to lots of places not just Andalucia). They've had rave reviews in the press. I'd love to go when I have the money (and time).

| have just been on an Exodus Holiday to Kenya and Zanzibar over new year and enjoyed every minute. Singles and couples; I was the oldest at 65 age range from mid thirties. it was part of my 'to do' list
a friend I had coffee with today didnt come as she felt it was too basic but now regrets it as I saw all the big five. I have also been away with explore to Iceland and Petra both well worth it for the experience.

Another vote for Freindship Travel, I went to Turkey with them 10 years ago and had a really good time. My now husband went to the same place with them the year before!

A good mixture of ages of people, so it's easy to make friends and find somebody to talk to.
