I'm actually doing something this New Year's Eve!
At 5pm we are going to my childhood home (well, next door). When I was little, we lived in a semi and mum and dad are best friends with our then neighbours (who still live there) and I was friends with their youngest son and we went to Uni together. So we are all off there tonight for fireworks, baked potatoes etc.
Then at 8.30, my siblings and a school friend are coming back here. I'm thinking my sons will go to bed at 9.30ish then we'll just watch television and play on the Wii.

Both in and out; DH and I will be popping to the village pub early on to have a drink with neighbours and friends (pub does its own mulled wine which is fabulous!), then we'll leave before midnight and go home to crack open a bottle of bubbly and watch the firework display across the bay from the warmth of our house.
Best of both worlds!"I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0
