half price is a healthy sale price
look at the £65 DS at morrisons last year while elsewhere they were (and are again now) circa £100, that was a sale
I wouldn't get excited but its worth complaining - its not an obvious misprice, Argos often has approx 70% off other goods
i'm only sorry i missed this early on
I do understand where you're coming from but at the time Morrisons had ther offer the DS Lite was on the way out. The DSi is the newest incarnation and a relatively new piece of equipment so for anyone to be selling it at such a low price is unrealistic. Having said that I'm no fan of Argos and would say it's definitely worth complaining for anyone that feels aggrieved, but if you haven't received one already I wouldn't be holding your breath.0 -
For those who had money taken and despatch cancelled might be worth looking on the "when it's gone" board or something like that for the threads on B & Q mispricing deals, the rainwater butt and dishwasher threads probably most relevant. Might give you some info. on a way forward, also lots of helpful peeps to answer questions.

I don't agree with you, and like I said in my earlier post, the 'obvious misprice' which was listed as a sale item didn't ring mistake bells with hundreds of Argos stores yesterday or with their Argos Direct personnel hence it sold out at £79.99!!. Maybe you are more savvy than all of us!0 -

Thank you, will do x0 -
Has anyone on this site EVER got anywhere doing this? I hear lots and lots of people saying they've done this, but I never see a positive outcome.
Once again this is one of those times that some people got lucky - and good luck to them - and some didn't, in which case accept it and move on. You have no legal standing here (unless the money was taken out of your account and a dispatch email was sent to you) so don't lose any sleep over it.
See my earlier post, it worked with gamecubes when Tesco made a similar pricing error. Many people have had a despatch email & money taken.marcstephenthomas wrote: »It was an obvious misprice really. The A DSi clearly wouldn't be on sale at £79.99 unless it was a mistake. Fair play to anyone that got one at that price though.
Argos have many sale items half price or less, so why obvious? The laws the law so why defend Argos when they're clearly & legally at fault?Next year we'll be millionaires!0 -
Just found my money was taken, and been on my order tracking and it says it can't give me information on my order. Will have to get my dad on the case from Monday as I won't be in the country to fight them.0

Where did I defend them? If you actually bothered to read my post instead of picking out the bits you wanted then you'd see that I said I'm no fan of Argos and wished people luck in getting their dsi's. Also, the only issue I've been commenting on is the misprice, which to me was clearly a misprice - and this turned out to be the case..so I don't see where your argument of the "laws the law" comes into play against what I said really..0 -

To you it might have appeared to be a misprice - did you actually see it yourself on the Argos website when it was on there?
Can we not go round in circles with this, not really getting anyone anywhere? I keep coming back on this thread to see if anyone has come up with any new ideas. Have been onto HUKD website, there are hundreds of people in same position.0 -

I did read all your post, I didn't pick at it, hence the reason I quoted your full post. If you read your own post you'll see you didn't state that you were "no fan of argos". Regarding being clearly a misprice we'll have to agree to disagree.Next year we'll be millionaires!0
