We have Linda but I havent been there in years because nothing ever fitted  I said to Mum first stop tomorrow is Primark. We had a dinky one but last/this year when the new shopping centre opened they took over the old John Lewis so its now 3/4 levels high  We poped into there in November and the queue to pay was 45min wait. I have planned if we go there before noon it shouldnt be too bad I hope :rotfl:

Oh, and in response to him really not moving. I think he would stay but he said his concern is he would increasingly spend time in the other town with his friends, so not see as much of me. I would also struggle with him being unhappy, as he has told me he is not happy here and is lonely.

Could you compromise by looking for somewhere half way between the 2 areas, then neither of you will be too far away from either area?

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Well, that was short and sweet! I got there just as the guy who picks up the blood samples did so the nurse told the receptionist to stall him, it was the quickest blood test I've ever had! And in the 5 minutes I was out a delivery of 6 pairs of jeans came, my neighbour took them in for me. I saw a delivery van as I left and thought it might have been for me.

Anyway, time to relax now, and build up the guts to pull the plaster off my arm. The sticking a needle in part I don't have a problem with, but the taking a plaster off always hurts!

Yay Bunny, I'll start looking into hotels and things in a couple of weeks when I have money again. I'll probably drive down though, so if there's anyone between Leeds and you who wants a lift just shout.

Pap - think I must live in the same area as you. I think the new Primark is so much nicer than the previous two shops they had - you could actually find stuff. When I went, the queue wasn't too bad (over the Oct half-term) but don't know what it will be like at the moment. It's funny as I still refer to it as the old John Lewis building and they must have left there about 10 yrs ago?

Ohhh maybe we are  Starts with a B, has a new 'circus' I only refer to it as that because I remember Lewis being there when I was a child and thats what it will be forever known as in our family. Oh and walking in one 'side' only to come out the other to catch the bus home :rotfl: When I went in you could hardly move, it was a Saturday though. Fingers crossed for tomorrow :o The old shops were ok, the last one was a bit run down though, this one looked really swish :D

I feel like if we are going to move anyway, that I may as well move where he wants to - does that seem silly? A big reason his friends have moved to this town is because property is cheaper there, and he has been thinking how we could pay off our mortgage in less than 10yrs instead of 25.

I could not stay in my current job if we moved anywhere as I am on the limit of my personal commute to work radius as it is (takes me 50-60+mins to drive to work and it is not in the direction of the new town). I want to live somewhere I spend quite a bit of my time so I can get involved in the community. I would want therefore to get into a local church etc.

When we first moved to SE England we lived in a commuter village and it was horrid. In the day everyone went to work (except mums and tots) and in the evenings everyone went back into their house, shut the door and kept themselves to themselves. I did not get to know anyone and felt so lonely. I did not have a job at first and it was just such a miserable and lonely time.
