I dont rate the RSPCA either, I called them about a dog that had been hit by a car and they werent interested, from that day to this ive never given them a penny and i never will!!

Could you not just put food somewhere where Ginger can get to it?

Are there any local independant animal rescue/dogs homes places near to you. Sometimes they take in unwanted cats as well as dogs to be rehomed.

could try but theres a family of foxes in another neighbours garden the otherside and they gobble up everything in sight. also foxes in other gardens nearby so i cant guarantee ginger would get the grub. cant leave it in my garden as my dog is quite partalto abit of cat food.

its so heartbreaking that someone can just go and buy an animal and then abandon it so quickly. this is the 3rd cat he's done it to. we always assumed he was in (though in five years weve lived here weve never seen him) but doreen tells us he leaves the windows open just so it looks like someone is in. she adopted daisy after daisy jumped from the window (1st floor), daisy was lucky not to hurt herself. daisy had a choice, escape or starve.

have also heard the bloke immediately upstairs from doreen shouting and hammering at someones front door to 'shut the eff up'. if i knew it was this door of the empty flat then it makesyou wonder if there are more poor animals in there. i cantsee himdoing itto anyone else, doreen isnt loud at 81 and the other girl isnt either and he ewerent shouting at his missus. if i reported this, notknowing what was in the empty flatwould it been seen as vindictive?

    oh what to do.

docats eat dog food? might put a bowl out in the side bit by our back gate for him and hope he's the one to get it.

  • Sorry you're having such a bad/useless time with the RSPCA. I've only had a good experience when I called them out to rescue a trapped duck and they were there within 30 minutes.
My suggestion would be to catch the cat and just take it to a rescue home. If anybody asks, you just say you haven't seen it.

If I had all the money I'd spent on drink, I'd spend it on drink.

I also would call the police and tell the RSPCA you have, might get them to do something, after all this is animal cruelty and it is illegal

I agree - many years ago a friend of mine did this, a neighbour of hers had a cat he wasn't feeding properly and she had see him kick this poor little thing on a couple of occasions too. One day when he went to work she got the cat and drove it over the other side of London and gave it to a friend of hers that loved animals.

I know some would say this was morally wrong, but at least the little thing wasn't suffering any more.
