I don't know if it would help MSD, but I use one of these to help with getting up, as I often find it a struggle:

    Afternoon all.

I'm toying with the idea of joining the Flylady thread once the holiday period is over, but I'm worried that I'll fail at that if I have a bad few days. What do to, what to do...:confused::confused: One thing's for sure, something's gotta be done about this place; it's like a pigsty, ansd I'm falling further and further behind. Kitchen lounge and bedroom are fine (more or less) - it's places like the[STRIKE] junk[/STRIKE] spare room, which basically gets used for storage.

I start flylady again every week!

I got a bed aid from my OT. Its a handle type thing that fits under the mattress and works a treat!

Anyway hope everyone doing ok. I hope those with poorly tummies get better soon. I worried myself sick that I had poisoned my family last night with left over turkey pie...but it was ok. My DD is not too good today but I have a suspicion its hormonal.

Oh I hate my house at the moment. Its so messy and my kids are so untidy. My DS1 is the worst - positively slovenly  I have been trying to do a little bit each day but my cleaner also has two weeks holiday so Im struggling to say the least. I also need to plan some meals but used my 25 pound Morries voucher so my shop this week was very reasonable.

I went to see my friends from school yesterday. They were very shocked at my deterioration since Easter when I last saw them. It was lovely to catch up. We go to the same pub each year and all of us had not been to the pub since last christmas. I wish they lived closer especially my best friend in Germany. One of my new years resolution is to try and make some local friends so Im not so lonely.

Oh roll on school and college next Monday.

    Have a lovely evening,
    Mollyxx

Tomorrow Im going out for dinner so that will be good. Kids can fend for themselves.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Hi guys

I am in the middle of repainting my kitchen and have got to scrap drips mark and blobs from the lino!!! Lovely job!

Need to put some washing on and then start to move the kitchen back into the kitchen cos I keep tripping over the kettle and toaster when I go into the lounge! And it looks messy! Have seen a new chrome bin and drying rack in asda so might pop back this evening and use some of my christmas money to buy them - life in the fast lane!

I was going to have one, but it meant I wouldn't be able to use the drawers, so they didn't fit it, but yes, the OT can supply.

It is much easier getting up though with some sort of aid :)

Not much done today - but at least Ive done SOMETHING

34 cards printed, signed, envelopes written and posted.

3 loads of washing done and out to dry

    dinner in the oven

THIS IS A H*LL OF A LOT MORE THAN IVE DONE OVER THE PAST FEW WEEKS!

So, I am going to be happy with what I have done and not dwell on what still needs doing.

  • Hi Strangers!!!!

Got back home a couple of days ago. Our friends were great and we were treated like royalty. Had a lovely Xmas.

MSD-I use a pillar lift, but it is very nosey as its electrical. Your OT should have some other options too. I struggle moving and OH has to help turn me which I loathe as it disturbs his sleep.

Back to reality tomorrow with a hospital visit overnight for treatment. No doubt they will try and keep me for longer:rotfl:

Anyway, I hope everyone is okay and had a great xmas.

Thanks for all the kind messages, cards and texts.

I'm not sure about crochet but in knitting you can use two strands of double knit to give the same effect as chunky. I only learned this once I'd gone out & bought a load of chunky to make a jumper when I had the required amount of DK already in  Not terribly money saving but at least I know now :money::rotfl: Hope you are all improving now xx
