Morning everyone
Hope you all had a fab xmas!! Got a new slow cooker and bread maker yippeee!!
Back at work today boooo!!0 -
Good morning
NPM I hope Noah is better soon. I usually judge if George is ill or not by the talking. If it stops, he's ill, otherwise he talks from when he gets up until after he is tucked up in bed.
I did the ironing yesterday....but then I did the washing last night, so now there's more ironing. Such is life :rotfl: I need to hoover round, and then I'm taking the House Elf to a local art gallery. There's an exhibition on in Liverpool of "Go Penguins", and one of them is in a gallery on this side of the river. We may take a trip to Liverpool later in the week to see more of them.
Dinner is spag bol for him, and something out of the freezer for me. I'm another one who would like to lose some weight in the next few months, so whatever it is I'll be having a lot of veg with it!
Take care all of you.0 -
Sounds like you liked your presents Rachel! I think this might be the year of the bread maker for me.
Hope DS feels better soon NPM.
Been out with dogs - pavements still lethal so it is an interesting shuffle until we get to the park. Young dog is interested in birds so I have to keep an eye out for any as she would lunge on the lead and that would be me flat on my face.
Don't know what the day holds yet. DS stayed overnight as the pavements were so icy so he is under a blanket on the settee. DSS goes back down south tomorrow morning so I think a few more touristy things for him today. I'll need a quiet time at some point as DH was really restless and i didn't get much sleep.
Got an email from DD and her OH - they have arrived safely in New York and been out for dinner. They'll have a fabulous time - staying with old friends and also another couple of friends from here are on hol there at the same time.
Ok, kettle on for some more tea.
Keep safe on the ice everyone who is affected.
(((hugs))) to those feeling unwell, sad or upset.

I also got a free trip on the ferry. When I was about to get off I reminded the decky that he'd forgotten to collect my money & I got a wink and he told me it was my lucky day.
Thats cos you have kept your looks
Morning all,
Bit gloomy here, got a load in the wm, which i will have to hang on the airer today. General clean round needed.
I have to take little dog to the vets for a check today, and then round to book the van for our move day, :T.
I also need to do the online shop, which I must to today, as its being delivered thursday.
I have a ham joint which I will cook today, and which will be used for several meals. I also need to buy a chicken to roast for tomorrow night, dd has 2 friends coming to stay, one of whom only gets a roast at christmas, and the other now lives in Dubai, so I thought she might like one.
I would like to get the kitchen counters re-oiled before we move, might see if I can rope in OH to help me, I cant believe we have less than two weeks in this house, I bought my dd home here at two days old, 15 years ago.
Have good days all, and I hopo Noah improves throughout the day xx0 -

Morning all
Turning very grey looking here at the moment and think we are forecast sleet or perhaps even snow so looks like it might be on its way again:eek:
Just had a phone call from work asking me why I wasn't in and if I had gone in hosp for my op. They had forgotten that I agreed to change my day off from Thursday to today, as they didn't have enough staff to cover on New Years Eve. Mind you I'm not sure where I am with work etc at the moment as I am still waiting for my rearranged op details.
NPM hope Noah feels better soon
Diva hope that Tris is OK

Morning all. It's freezing cold here today  so I'll be wrapping up warmly when I go out to the library later.
We had a lovely lazy afternoon yesterday once I'd done all the cleaning that needed doingThe ironing didn't get done though so I shall tackle that today or tomorrow. I have almost finished the 2nd scarf for DD's friend and am looking forward to starting on the charity knitting now - it's years since I have knitted baby things.
Lunch today will be out and tea is poached eggs & beans on toast.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning all.
Not a great day here atm. I'm struggling to get round and have had to cancel our planned trip to see relatives
I'm hoping the painkillers will start to ease things, but my whole body feels so stiff.
No more mice to reportI'm sure we haven't seen the last of them but hopefully the stuff I've got will see them off.
I've got to take some steak out the freezer for tonight. DDs can cook it on the George Foreman. They enjoy cooking and I want to give them more responsibility in the kitchen, plus steak is a pretty easy thing for them to do. I will supervise though, so we don't end up with anything burnt or too well done
I've still got my to do list:
[STRIKE]Tall cupboard.[/STRIKE] Haven't done very top, though.
[STRIKE]Wall cupboard.[/STRIKE] Haven't done very top, though.
Art cupboard.
Side cupboard.
Bookcase.
3 work units.
Mobile unit.
I also want to stock take food supplies, ready for meal planning in the new year.
[STRIKE]Wall cupboard.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Fridge.[/STRIKE]
Freezer.
Work unit.
Hopefully, I will be able to get the mobile unit done, as it's not that big a task.
I'm going to take down the christmas cards today, then we can cut the pictures into tags for next year. I also want DDs to write their thank you cards, so we can get them posted.
Hope everyone has a good day, whatever you're doing
