    Like you say he has his good points and he is sort of trying.He doesn't understand the concepts...You understand it more(thankfully) perhaps he needs stuff pointed out very precisely to him.
    MY OH has no clue about finances and I have to explain to him on more than one occasion and in very simple terms so that he understands what I want.

    Yes, i have been going wrong in waffling then dictating- i didn't have the right approach.

    Was able to talk tonight with out arguing ( a bonus) i have told him how to open up a basic bank account and he finally clicked that if it is not coming out of main account then we won't be getting overdraft fees:rolleyes: That took some doing:o

    That way he will have to budget- no choice as he will go overdrawn other wise. Money can be transferred back to joint account to cover that loan, and pay off overdraft.:j Utilities will be transferred to my account, so i know they are paid- but at the moment i reckon that FTC and Family allowance will cover the main loan. So we may well be out of the mire in three months with a bit of luck.
