Who really cares if other people want to be snobby about pound shops? No-one is forced to shop there. It's a free country.

Middle class Mary conspiring that she has to shop there to make ends meet. What a load of bull faeces.

It's like any other shop, some bargains, some crap and some stuff you can get elsewhere for cheaper.

I am a bit of a poundshop snob I admit, I get claustrophobic in them because they are stocked so full and I usually come out with a bag of stuff I don't need  But, they do have their place in the highstreet and if your sensible they do save a you fortune if you needed the item in the first place.

Poundland is my Sock Saviour, so many colours and varients, currently got purple and black slipper socks, sooo cosy. That and nibbles are fab in there. I've had some other bits and pieces there (cushion covers etc)

In all honesty, if I find a town with several pound shops in, i'm happy as larry!! (Ilford/Walthamstow)

what an idiotic article...did anyone tell this stuck up tart that poundland is not a supermarket?

i dont mind a look around £land but i rarely find anything i need, our nearest one is like a placcy-crap factory! they occasionally have a bargain though you just have to sort through all the toot to find them! (like most shops i suppose!)
