I got loads of whoopsies including a few 6p (4pts milk:j), loads of bread, 1p fruit (pears/ lemons etc) etc etc.
It should of cost 24.22 but I saved 22.42 and only paid 1.80:money: very please with that. I think this is the most I've saved on whoopsies in one shop.
Wow, huston kw. You got some great bargains there! I never see anything that cheap. Did you go very late & do you mind me asking you what supermarket you went to?
I went to Mr A. it was about 9.30ish, there was hardly anyone there - I think that is why they had so much at ridiculously low prices.
They had bunches of flowers from as little as 2p I got some (but didn't included that in the savings as it wasn't food) but I saved about 4 quid on two bunches0 -
Not doing at all well, as hubby's off work he's been cooking - and not from my menu plan or what we have, he's also taken to popping to the bakers for snacks and thing.
Then today we went off to Mr T's -with a list, but still spent 80 quid! I thought my list was tiny
I'm all sad now...Jan GC £153/ £3000 -

chin up fionut, you're thinking about it so next time might plan something differently, or find another way. We are all learning on here.. i was so pleased with myself with my fijita kits yesterday only to find much cheaper ways of doing it all with research on here when i got home..
today made homemade chilli shredded beef with noodles, was nearly better than the takeaways, and except for the whoopsied beef the whole dish cost me about 40p.. onward and upwards :j
last month i was over budget by loads so fingers crossed i can do this month to budget..
nov grocery challenge, £.227.69/300, 9/25 nsd: , 7 Cmo, 10 egm.
Me, 10 yo dd, and the dog. all food and drinks, in and out, plus household shopping.0 -
Only spent £5.49 today including 5 Mullerlites for £1 from T*sco - love them but too tight to buy them usually.
Also 10 Free range, mixed size eggs from the C*op for £1.89 which I though was quite good.
This evening I will start my Tuesday delivery shop which is going to be Tesco as they sent me evouchers for not turning up last time. I'm definitely going to be shopping around next time though!August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -
Im joiing into this as well  been silently trying to retrain myself into not spending this year so need to wade into as many challenges as possible.
I popped into aldi to see if they had any kitchen spray and thought it has got expensive in there are 1.25 for own make kitchen spray. Its definitely cheaper in Mr S & Mr T. Kidney beans only 20p in there and robinsons apple & blackcurrant ( good hot drink instead of tea and more frugal with the milk store)
ETA also applied for my free 2 sachets of yeast from bakingmad.com ( freebies board) Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Hi all :hello:
Ventured out in the snow today (brrr!) to get shopping for Grandparents and us. How come GP shopping came to £18.98 and mine and DH's £42.11, and there wasn't much difference in products! Did shopping in Mr M and have to say was really quite disappointed with the lack of offers, I had to scout them out and even then didn't feel like I'd got any bargains. We should (fingers crossed) be OK for at least a week, possibly even two, so in theory only really need to spend on things like bread and milk. Here's hoping anyway...
Excuse my ignorance, but have been seeing that many of you order from Approved Food. Can you tell me what they're like as I'd never heard of them before?
Going to make a big batch of soup tomorrow, loads of veggies and pulses. DH not that impressed with soup, but as I'm the chef, he'll have to put up with it!!
Stay safe and warm everyone :snow_laug

Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0
