  • Good afternoon everyone,

    was really disappointed this morning. Started making scrambled egg with two organic eggs and when I added the milk I discovered it was off. So had to through the whole lot away. I hate waste. So annoyed with myself.icon9.gif

    Anyway have ventured out this morning to check on my mother and her neighbour. Both seem to have plenty of milk/bread etc, so didn't need to go to village shop. So anothe nsd for me.

    Plan to go now and make lentil soup for tomorrows lunch. Have carrots etc already prepared in bags in freezer. So wont be any trouble to throw it into a pot. Any left over can be carried to work for lunches next week.

    Hope everyone is keeping warm and safe.

    Well the pasties went well - tasted OK but would have been much better if I'd remembered to put onion in them:o

    Carrieon - I had too much veg filling so ended up with two large pasties made with the steak and a smaller one with a bit of mince in as I am defrosting a pack to batch cook bolognese. Needless to say the steak one tasted better:D

    Hi,

    Just a small spend for me today in MrT (£12.79). Will have to go back later on as I couldn't carry the veg I need for tomorrows' roast, and don't want to leave it until the morning. Weighed down with library books, DD's swimming kit and the shopping we needed for lunch and tea tonight!

    Totals updated.

    Have a good day.

    Done my shop for the next two weeks fingers crossed. It came to £136, so still on target providing it does last two weeks.

    My shop at the big Mr T near my work was somewhat foiled when I realised I had left my wallet behind - doh!!. Had £8.50 in change and that covered:

    * 4 pints whole milk (so I could dilute it down - first time I have done that - nobody is any the wiser)
    * value fruit and veg
    * spuds £1 for 2.5kg
    * eggs
    * flour

    The eggs were a complete nightmare all the boxes were broken and I got a couple of what I thought were 6 for 99p eggs turned out to be £1.55 for 6 !! more than I paid in a while - went to CS but they were helpless

    Very cheap shop - I'll have to forget my wallet more often!!

    Today we all walked (glided?? slipped?) into town to nearest shop (Mr W) - got some cat food, frozen veg (completely out of fresh), reduced quiche, herbs for cooking and HM bread, OJ, and some stuff for OH - £12

    Went shopping last night and spent 42.77 which leaves 157.23 for January. It should be very doable.

    I got loads of whoopsies including a few 6p (4pts milk:j), loads of bread, 1p fruit (pears/ lemons etc) etc etc.

    It should of cost 24.22 but I saved 22.42 and only paid 1.80:money: very please with that. I think this is the most I've saved on whoopsies in one shop.

    I got a few BOGOF and multi saves deals which saved another 9 quid.

    We got enough in for at least a week (I'll probably be able to stretch it for two)

    Shopped at Aldi and the supplies were really low, which of course was good for my purse, but means I might have to go out and shop again sooner than I wanted to.

    Spent £6.18, so that means total spend for food and toiletries this month now at £23.22/£200

    Tomorrow should be a NSD and quite possibly Monday and Tuesday too.

    NSD day today,. not venturing out much too cold !!!

    I am really pleased with this, I have just got so much inspiration from this thread, I would have spent loads more by now and am surprised at just how little I have spent and how much I still have in my cupboards,

    More's to the point, it just makes me realise how much I didn't need half of the stuff I would have bought before this thread made me think about absolutely every purchase I make.:T:T:T

    hope you all have a nice day

    Daughter went out and bought 8 onions for 93p. My daughter said the fruit and veg. aisle was virtually empty bar a few battered fruit. Apparently I got the last decent onions. She also said there were long queues in the supermarket.
