  • Well it's time for a declaration of £279 for this first month - I m just so glad I pulled up my spending splurges and stopped buying the utter rubbish that seemed to have leapt into my trolley over the last few month's - it's very strange how the stuff just manages to get in there! Thanks for the grocery challenge and all the great tips and ideas !
May you fill up the great clutterbucket of life and may all of your leaks be in cheese sauce:D
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without:cool:
  • Um, haven't been around at all really this month (been incredibly busy!) but I've stuck to the challenge so I guess that's what matters!

I was actually all set to come in UNDER budget - until M&S did their dinner for £10 last week, which was just too good an offer to miss (got £19.40's worth of stuff!).

Final figure was £303.83 for January, on a budget of £300, so I am very, very chuffed with that! :-)
I'm broke, not poor. Poor sounds permanent, broke can be fixed. (Thoroughly Modern Millie)

Declaring at £401.50 against te £400 budget - am impressed. We'd have been under, but I came out of hospital on Friday later (by 2 days!) than expected, so we had a takeaway, which blew it slightly!

  • Would like to declare £296.91 for January. So pleased I manage to pull it off despite my 9 month old DS eating me out of house and home, and I managed to get stuff baby bargains in the "baby week" that asda, sainsbugs and now Mr M's are offering. Let's see if it can be done in Feb :p
  • Hi all,

Would like to declare on £61.51 for Jan. I was well under the £80 target. However, I did have quite a bit in the freezer and was stocked up nicely. I will see how I get on next month.

  • Declaring at £434 so overbudget but as I didn't know exactly what would be realistic it gives me a better idea now! So for February I will aim for £400 and see how we go.
