January 2010 Grocery Challenge

:DHi everyone
Popped into town after work but ONLY bought the potatoes I needed and NOTHING ELSE! We have £13 to last til the 31st but I'm sure we can do it.
It's my last week at MRW where I've been working 2 evenings a week as an extra job stacking shelves. We won't find out until Friday (my last shift) whether or not we're being kept on or not which is really frustrating.. I've put all the money from this extra job into the "pay off the mortgage account" but if I'm kept on the wages can go towards a holiday. Fingers Crossed.
They're saying the recession's over on the news today. Unfortunately my cousin was made redundant a fortnight ago so I'm not sure I believe it.
Please put us down for £350 again for February.Mortgage Free in 3 part 2 challenge - pay off £9000
Sealed Pot Challenge 416 - target £5000 -
Spent another £16 today on milk, sausages, chips, bananas and rolls.
I seem to be determined to spend up!
On the other hand I have quite a few bits in for February that I've bought because they are on offer - quorn pieces are £1 a bag in tesco at the moment as are boxes of chicken dippers.
This thread has definitely taught me to stock up on offers when I see them!August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -
Another little spend £4.10 in Co-Op, boys wanted apples and I got some drinks.
CurryQueen's curry sauce was my mission yesterday, made over 3 pints now trying to make some into a curry - my house STINKS!
Not sure what to do about my budget, I just realised I've included takeaway in both grocery spend and "other" spending. Don't want to feel like I'm cheating but I think I should take it off grocery spending as it's definitely not a monthly occurence so won't give me an accurate idea...
Think I will actually, as I'm so close to the end of the month and only a few quid left - was only £18 but gives me a bit of leeway and then I won't be unhappy about failing!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Well, I've gone about £40 over budget for this month
but I have stockpiled a few things (mainly washing liquid/tabs, dishwasher tabs, t-bags, coffee and a few other things that have had too-good-to-miss offers !)
I have everything I need now to last until the end of the month and probably a few days into Feb so I'd like to declare £343.60 for January.
Could I please be put down for £350 in February (to cover more stockpiling :rotfl:). Thank you Mrs M.
Thanks too to Helen and Pink for January's thread :jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -
