Mrs M can you put me down for 220 for Feb please.
I was debating whether to include the money I need to spend on ds's passport or not but I will just stick to it being grocery's and all household goods including majority of toiletries and any nappies/wipes we might need. I am impressed that even though I went over this month I still was 100 better than I've done in other months. If I can keep this up it will help a lot. I am reading Weezl's old threads for inspiration and then I'm going to move on to Thriftlady's wartime experiment.Sealed pot member 735

Hi everyone :hello:
NSD for me today, yay!! Am going to declare £201.16 for January, which isn't too bad for my first GC! Nothing else is needed until pay day now and the meals are all planned out. Dare I say it, I think I'm actually becoming organised
Well done to everyone this month and see you on the Feb thread!

I'm hoping I will end up under my budget but it will be a tight squeezeso I'd like to go with £200 again for Feb pretty please.

Evening all!
Been missing for a few days. Trying to use up things in the freezer/fridge for the rest of the month so we're having some rather odd combinations. Today I made some curried bean soup using the mixed beans I had been soaking which turned out quite nice. Also I've been adding some omega 3 seed mix into my HM bread which makes a really nice change. Dinner tonight was a HM Chicken and Leek Bake, followed by a couple of chocolate and walnut muffins taken from the batch I made earlier....naughty but nice. I just need to sort out my receipts now and tot up what I've spent so far this year. Will update later. I hope everyone else is doing ok.Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

Can I have £100 for Feb please.......0 -
Went to Asda tonight to stock up on bits for my new freezer
I will add my spend onto February's total as all my meals are planned for this week and apart from a couple of things, none of it will be used until February anyway.
Spent £25.04 and got quite a lot; frozen corn cobs, peas, spinach, green beans, broad beans, scampi, prawns, pizza, fish fingers, some chicken steaks, chips and crispbakes have all gone in the freezer. Also got some reduced breads rolls which have gone in there as well as some crumpets and sausages. Got some cup a soups for work, bottle of lemon juice (as end up buying a lemon for recipes and half of it gets wasted each time), a packet of polenta, some garlic, a jar of pesto (never tried it), a bag of salad, some cake slices (reduced!) and 2 Wispa GoldsAlso bought some eggs and was so embarrassed as when I was checking the eggs, I lifted one out and dropped it. It hit the trolley, cracked and just oozed onto the floor. I went and found someone and apologised a lot, but felt so bad! My sister was just laughing at me while I guarded the poor scrambled egg on the floor
Oh, also got a set of plastic food containers - 18 various sizes for £3.00. I thought they'd be quite useful, but I will see over time
Enough of my rambling. I think I will go for £60.00 in February please which actually leaves me with £37.96 when I take off the above total (minus the plastic containers). I will see how I get on with that...!Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

I have already been paid, but am going to count each month starting on the 1st. It looks like I will be going over budget (but it was a guess and my overdraft facility did not get as much abuse as usual!)
I will keep the same budget for feb. It is a shorter month and I hope that I will not even need my overdraft!
I have really benefitted from the recipes posted at the beginning of the thread and have enjoyed planning meals etc. There is still alot of room for improvement and am looking forward to continuing with the challenge!GC: Jan £383/£360 Feb £343/£360
March £241/£360 monthly spend
